Stamford Life Science Club (SLSC) is a club under Stamford University Bangladesh, which aims to enhance the interest of university students in the field of life sciences, through networking and science related programs. With the mentorship and guidance of club supervision, students will arrange seminars to build public awareness which also stimulate the interest in science. We also organize differ

ent scientific program or game show in different school and collage around the Dhaka city to maintain school aspirations to promote quality education. Along with these we will provide opportunity for leadership training among all the members.

🌍 World Health Day 2026 Seminar 🩺🌿

The Stamford Life Science Club (SLSC), in collaboration with the Department of Microbiology, Stamford University Bangladesh, successfully organized an online seminar on April 7, 2026, via Zoom, based on the theme “Global Action for Universal Health Coverage.” The seminar highlighted the importance of scientific awareness and collective responsibility in achieving global health goals, making the session both informative and impactful.

We were honored to have Prof. Dr. Sharif Nafe As-Saber, Vice Chancellor of Stamford University Bangladesh, as the Chief Guest. The event was also graced by our Guests of Honor, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Kamruzzaman Majumder, Dean and Professor of Department of Environmental Science, Faculty of Science
Stamford University Bangladesh and Dr. Mrityunjoy Acharjee, Associate Professor, Department of Microbiology. The seminar featured insightful presentations from our respected speakers, Shahidul Ahmed Khan, Ph.D, from Chonnam National University, South Korea, and Kamal Kanta Das, Assistant Professor, Department of Microbiology, Stamford University Bangladesh. The session was skillfully hosted by Sawda Binte Monir, Lecturer at Stamford University Bangladesh. Convener, Stamford Life Science Club (SLSC), Stamford University Bangladesh.

The program was conducted with great enthusiasm and active participation. We sincerely thank all our respected guests, speakers, and participants for making this event successful. Special appreciation goes to our honorable convenor and executive members for their dedication and effort in ensuring the smooth ex*****on of the seminar. Together, we continue our journey toward building a healthier and more informed society.

Today, on behalf of the Stamford Life Science Club (SLSC), a courtesy meeting was held with the newly appointed Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Sharif N AS-Saber.

The respected Convener of the club, Sawda Binte Monir, was present at the meeting. Also in attendance were members of the Executive Committee, Coordinator Md. Akhlakur Rahman Tanim, and former Coordinator Shahriar Ahmed Kabbo.

During the meeting, fruitful discussions were held regarding the organization’s future activities, prospects, and overall progress.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to him on assuming his new responsibility. We sincerely hope that under his wisdom, experience, and visionary leadership, Stamford University Bangladesh will reach new heights of excellence.
