Dr. Engr. Md. Sohag Miah, Assistant Professor & Head, Department of Textile Engineering and Management, BUFT.

With a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Textile Engineering from Donghua University, China, and practical experience in the textile manufacturing industry, Dr. Miah brings together scientific research and real-world industrial expertise to inspire the next generation of textile professionals.

His research focuses on sustainable industrial materials, composite biodegradability and recyclability, circular product design, and the durability of natural and synthetic fiber composites.

A recipient of Chinese Government Full Scholarships for Ph.D. and M.Sc. studies, along with international academic recognitions, he is committed to research-driven education and sustainable textile innovation.

Dr. Mohammad Shohrab Hossain Sarker, Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Science at BUFT—an interdisciplinary environmental social scientist specializing in climate change, environmental science, spatial analysis, climate-induced migration, and sustainable development.

With a Ph.D. from the University of Sheffield, UK, international research experience, and 13 published research outputs, Dr. Sarker brings global perspectives and practical knowledge to the classroom.

His research focuses on climate change adaptation, environmental justice, GIS, remote sensing, and building resilience in vulnerable communities.
