Using Artificial Intelligence Research Team of Public Health Department of Daffodil International University , AI Unit and Cardio Care General Hospital developed and released beta version of AI solution to detect and track 'COVID-19'

In a study by team of researchers from Department of Public Health, Cardio-Care General Specialized Hospital and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Unit of Daffodil International University (DIU) has developed a new diagnostic modality to detect COVID – 19; where the researchers are using AI software to detect Covid-19 by analyzing the chest X-ray or images from lung CT scans. By using this AI technology, the health workers/Doctors can instantly diagnose if the suspected person has COVID – 19 or not.

Currently, this AI technology can differentiate between COVID 19 and other respiratory illnesses including Pneumonia. Doctors can then follow up with other examinations and lab tests to confirm a diagnosis of the disease. In this research, we found that the sensitivity of this AI modality for COVID-19 infection is 96%.

গ্যাস সংকটে উৎপাদনক্ষমতা স্বল্প ব্যবহার হয় এবং সেই সঙ্গে মূল্যবৃদ্ধি—এই উভয় কারণে পণ্য ও সেবার ব্যয় বাড়ে। তাই বাজার প্রতিযোগিতায় সে পণ্য/সেবার টিকে থাকার ঝুঁকিও বাড়ে। গ্যাস মাপে ও চাপে কম এবং বেশি দামে কিনে ভোক্তা ঠকে। এমন বাস্তব অবস্থা ও তার প্রতিকারের কোনো প্রস্তাব কখনো মূল্যবৃদ্ধির প্রস্তাবে আসে না। সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্তৃপক্ষও ভাবে না। অথচ বারবার মূল্য পুনর্নির্ধারণ হয় এবং বৃদ্ধিও পায়। অবস্থাদৃষ্টে মনে হয়, লাইসেন্সি, পেট্রোবাংলা, জ্বালানি বিভাগ, বিইআরসি এমনকি সরকারও বিভ্রান্ত।

Call for Ideas: "ICT in Bangla" Contest

While we celebrate "International Mother Language Day" and "Shahid Dibash" in the month of February, it is essential to continue the same spirit throughout the rest of the year. In this regard, IEEE Bangladesh Section is glad to announce call for ideas for "ICT in Bangla" contest.
The ideas should contain the following:
• Title
• Abstract reflecting the idea
• Objective
• Motivation
• Methodology (technology used)
• Flow Chart/ Block Diagram (if applicable)
• How it will help to promote ICT in Bangla
• Future Work
• Conclusion

Topics include but are not limited to:
