The Dhaka University Moot Court Society (DUMCS) is delighted to announce that a team comprising Jannatul Mawa Suchi, Mumtahina Mosharrof Moumita, and Faria Mehjabin Medha, has emerged as the Champion of the 3rd UMSAILS-UAP Inter University Moot Court Competition 2026.
Additionally, Faria Mehjabin Medha has achieved the Best Oralist award.
Organized by the Department of Law and Human Rights, University of Asia Pacific (UAP), in collaboration with the UNESCO Madanjeet Singh South Asian Institute of Advanced Legal and Human Rights Studies (UMSAILS), the competition has taken place in person from October 9 to October 10, 2026, at the UAP Auditorium. A total of 24 public and private universities from across Bangladesh participated in this esteemed competition.
Representing the University of Dhaka, the team displayed outstanding advocacy, sharp legal reasoning, dedication, and exemplary teamwork throughout the rounds, ultimately securing the Championship and bringing immense pride to DUMCS and the University of Dhaka.
This achievement would not have been possible without the invaluable support of Professor Dr. Muhammad Ekramul Haque, Dean, Faculty of Law, University of Dhaka and the President, DUMCS; and of Dr. Farzana Akter, coach of the team and the Chief Moderator, DUMCS. We also extend our sincere appreciation to the respected faculty members, Mr Moniruz Zaman, and Ms Maksuda Sarkar, for their guidance and support.
