Our Story
Physics is a natural science based on experiment that seeks the answer to the question "How nature works?". A Physicist performs experiments and the mathematical analysis to find the quantitative physical laws that govern nature. Laws of nature not only give us the better understanding of the universe, but also push the frontier of technological developments. The basic laws in physics are universal, but physics in our time is such a vast field that many subfields are almost regarded as separate sciences. Almost all standard undergrad physics curriculum include the topics developed over about 400 years, started from the 17th century. On this long journey, this branch is touched by many great minds like Newton, Maxwell and Einstein. The breadth and depth of physics grew so fast like newly rooted tree, specially in the beginning of the 20th century. For an undergrad of physics, it is (almost) impossible to cover all the developments started from 17th century. After reading on some topic, it takes time to learn that adequately. A 400 year development cannot be digested overnight. The new concepts have to soak into consciousness. "Learning physics is an active experience." - Louis Hand (Author). Continuous engagement with physics helps a lot to go deeper into the subject. Solving interesting problems is a great way. But discussing and sharing knowledge is, probably, the best way to be engaged with physics. Arguing until getting satisfactory answer enhances the logical thinking and intuition. Community of Physics is a little endeavor to give the budding physicists a platform to discuss and share knowledge. In a broader sense, it encourages to "think out of the box". It pushes the newcomer to get engaged and an older one to stick with physics. The main goal of Community of Physics is to learn and share. This is the official page of Community of Physics.
