𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗦𝗨𝗕 𝗝𝗖𝗠𝗦 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗺 𝗔𝗹𝗼 𝗘𝘅𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

Students from the Department of 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗺, 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 (JCMS), State University of Bangladesh (SUB), visited the exhibition at the fire-damaged 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗺 𝗔𝗹𝗼 building in Karwan Bazar on February 28, 2026.

The exhibition featured “𝐀𝐥𝐨” by artist Mahbubur Rahman. It highlighted themes of resilience and press freedom. It also reflected the bond between journalism and its readers.

Around 30 students took part in the visit. They came from JCMS Batches 29, 33, 34, 35, and 36. The visit was supervised by Ms. Tasphia Nahian Hafeez and Mr. Bikromaditto, Lecturers of JCMS, SUB.

The experience connected classroom learning with real-world media challenges.

We are pleased to announce that 𝗠𝗿. 𝗥𝗮𝗳𝗶𝗷 𝗞𝗵𝗮𝗻, Lecturer in the Department of Journalism, Communication and Media Studies, has been appointed as Assistant Proctor of the SUB Proctorial Body at the State University of Bangladesh, effective February 2026.
This appointment recognizes his dedication, professionalism, and commitment to upholding discipline and integrity within the University community. We are confident that he will contribute significantly to the proper conduct and security of students across the university premises and events.

‘বহুভাষিক শিক্ষায় তারুণ্যের কণ্ঠস্বর’- প্রতিপাদ্যকে সামনে রেখে পালিত হচ্ছে আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা দিবস ২০২৬। জাতিসংঘের শিক্ষা, বিজ্ঞান ও সংস্কৃতি বিষয়ক সংস্থা ইউনেস্কোর মতে, মাতৃভাষায় শিক্ষা, তথ্য ও ডিজিটাল পরিসরে প্রবেশাধিকার নিশ্চিত করা অন্তর্ভুক্তি, সমতা এবং টেকসই উন্নয়নের জন্য অত্যন্ত জরুরি। একই সাথে, সাইবার পরিসরে বহুভাষাবাদকে ছড়িয়ে দিতে কৃত্রিম বুদ্ধিমত্তার কার্যকরী ব্যবহারের উপরও গুরুত্ব আরোপ করেছে ইউনেস্কো।
