NITER Director Attends International Textile and Fashion Conference-2026 in Dhaka

The Hon’ble Director of the National Institute of Textile Engineering and Research (NITER) Prof. Dr. Ashequl Alam Rana attended the International Textile and Fashion Conference 2026 as a Special Guest. The conference was organized by the Zhejiang Sci-Tech University and its collaborating partners and was held on 17 August 2026 in Dhaka.

Mr. Khandakar Abdul Muktadir, Minister of Textiles and Jute attended the event as the Chief Guest. Among the distinguished guests Professor Xu Qiuzhi, Vice Dean of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University and Dr. D**g Wenzu, Deputy Director of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences were also present in the event.

The conference featured insightful discussions on joint research, faculty and student exchanges, specialized training, smart textiles, artificial intelligence, digital manufacturing and sustainable fashion.

Following the conference, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Zhejiang Sci-Tech University and NITER, marking an important step toward strengthening academic collaboration, research partnerships, knowledge exchange, and capacity building between the two institutions.

ঢাকার কাওলার স্বনামধন্য শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান ব্রেইন বক্স হাই স্কুলের প্রায় ২০০ জন শিক্ষার্থী আজ মঙ্গলবার, ১১ আগস্ট ২০২৬ নিটার ক্যাম্পাস পরিদর্শন করে। এ সময় তারা নিটারের শিক্ষা পদ্ধতি, আধুনিক ল্যাবসমূহ ও মনোরম সবুজ ক্যাম্পাস ঘুরে দেখে এবং বিভিন্ন বিষয়ে বাস্তব অভিজ্ঞতা অর্জন করে। জ্ঞান, অভিজ্ঞতা ও আনন্দে ভরা আজকের এই সফরটি তাদের শিক্ষা জীবনের একটি স্মরণীয় অধ্যায় হয়ে থাকবে—এই প্রত্যাশা

বন্যাদুর্গত মানুষের পাশে NITER: বান্দরবানের উজানীপাড়ায় ত্রাণ ও আর্থিক সহায়তা প্রদান

মানবিকতা ও সামাজিক দায়বদ্ধতার অংশ হিসেবে ন্যাশনাল ইনস্টিটিউট অব টেক্সটাইল ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং অ্যান্ড রিসার্চ (NITER)-এর শিক্ষক ও শিক্ষার্থীদের সমন্বয়ে গঠিত একটি দল গত ৫ আগস্ট ২০২৬ বান্দরবানের উজানীপাড়া এলাকায় বন্যায় ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত ও অসহায় মানুষের পাশে দাঁড়ায়।
সাম্প্রতিক বন্যায় উজানীপাড়ার অনেক পরিবার মারাত্মকভাবে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়। অনেকের ঘরবাড়ি ভেঙে যায় এবং অনেকে হারিয়ে ফেলেন তাদের নিত্যপ্রয়োজনীয় সামগ্রী। ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত ও অসহায় মানুষের মাঝে চাল, ডাল, তেলসহ বিভিন্ন নিত্যপ্রয়োজনীয় খাদ্যসামগ্রী বিতরণ করা হয়। এমন কঠিন পরিস্থিতিতে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত পরিবারের পাশে দাঁড়াতে NITER-এর উদ্যোগে পরিচালিত হয় এই মানবিক ত্রাণ কার্যক্রম।
