Rajendra College is widely recognized as a reputed academic institution of Bangladesh. This institution undertook its journey in 1918 with a noble mission by an academic enthusiast and patron of learning Babu Ambikacharan Majumdar to provide higher education to those who were incapable of receiving the same due to non-availability of a college in Faridpur and its adjacent areas. Having been confro
nted with numerous impediments, he was successful in translating his vision into reality. Majumdar is still being upheld by a host of promising teachers, students and the employees of the college. They believe that education eliminates darkness and for the sake of achieving optimum progress and prosperity of the nation, learners will have to be equipped with proper education. Education is undoubtedly one of the prerequisites for achieving advancement and prosperity. If the students are capable of receiving quality education and implementing it for the greater welfare of mankind, the mission and vision of the college will materialize. It is expected that the students will be imbued with patriotic zeal and they will have utilitarian and egalitarian outlook for the overall advancement of the society. They should stay alert to meet the challenges of the days to come.
