When someone loves you, how important really is physical appearance?
I have had two relationships. Unfortunately, the first person left me because of family pressure and the second time, I was cheated on. After those experiences, I almost gave up on love and relationships altogether.
After that phase of my life, I found a man. we initially met for study purposes. At first, we only talked about our studies, but gradually, we became very close. We started talking and texting almost constantly, watching movies together on Discord, and discovering that we had so much in common.
One day, I jokingly told him that I was inviting you to watch Brand new day with me. I had no idea that he would take it seriously. Two days later, he called me and told me that he was in Dhaka. I was completely shocked because kuet is quite far from Dhaka.
When I met him he gift me a beautiful chocolate box then We watched the movie together and afterward, we went kayaking. While we were in the middle of the lake, he suddenly stopped boat, gave me a bouquet of roses and proposed to me.
I was completely shocked. I didn't even know that he had developed feelings for me to that extent. It felt like one of those dreamy proposals that many girls imagine. My heart was racing, and I didn't know what to say. I simply said him that I really appreciated your feelings but everything had happened so quickly, and I needed some time to think.
When he dropped me home, he stood outside my home until he got his answer. I eventually told him that I have feelings for you too, but I needed some time before entering into a relationship. He understood and respected my need for space. I was quite doubting his feelings so he even told his mother about me and sent me a recording of their conversation.
That was the dreamy part. But now I think I need to look beyond the dream and see the reality.
He is genuinely the kind of person I always wanted. He is humble, caring, understanding and also an intelligent. He studied at ndc and now he is studying eee at kuet. He is also very serious about his career. I admire so many things about him
But there is one thing I can't seem to ignore his height. I'm 5'5" and he is 5'6". I know it may sound silly, and everyone has their own preferences, but I have always imagined that my future husband would be tall. I'm trying to convince myself that when someone truly loves and respects you, physical appearance shouldn't matter that much. But honestly, I can't completely ignore this feeling.
What scares me even more is the possibility that I might convince myself to accept it now, enter into a relationship and then, somewhere in the future, realize that I still want someone taller. What if I eventually find someone who fits that preference better? How could I stop myself from leaving him? I don't want to hurt him or do to him what was done to me.
That's why I'm overthinking everything. I'm afraid that if I enter this relationship without being completely sure about my feelings, I might eventually hurt him, or even cheat, and then one day he might hate me the way I came to hate myself
Idk what should i do???
