Congratulations to Avijit Bhattacharjee from CSEKU 14 batch for publishing a paper on Mining Software Repositories Conference 2020 titling "An Exploratory Study to Find Motives Behind Cross-platform Forks from Software Heritage Dataset". It is one of the most prestigious conferences in the field of Software Engineering.

In this paper, he, along with the co-authors, analyzed 5 scenarios that drive authors to create cross-platform forks. It also reveals an unexplored region that opens the door to more researches.

Congratulations to Dr. Masud Rahman ('04 batch) for securing tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor at Dalhousie University at Halifax, Canada. Recently, he also received Governor General's Gold Medal and Usask Graduate Best Thesis Award.
We wish him best of luck for his future endeavours.

Congratulations to Dr. Chanchal Roy, Professor, Department of Computer Science, University of Saskatchewan who happens to be a notable alumnus, former faculty of CSE-Khulna University for leading the industry-oriented inter-university graduate program on software analytics research (SOAR) that worth of $1.65M.

I am super excited to lead this industry-oriented inter-university graduate program on software analytics research (SOAR). We will be hiring a lot of graduate students in the coming years under this program. Students could be admitted to any of the partner universities (USask, U of C, U of A, UBC). Thanks to all the co-applicants, industry, and academic partners and collaborators for their support. An inter-university group led by University of Saskatchewan (USask) researcher Chanchal Roy has been awarded $1.65 million by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) to establish a first-in-Canada graduate-level program to train a new generation of software engineers.
