অভিনন্দন ও শুভেচ্ছা

অত্যন্ত আনন্দের সাথে জানাচ্ছি যে, ইসলামী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ইনফরমেশন অ্যান্ড কমিউনিকেশন টেকনোলজি (আইসিটি) বিভাগের প্রাক্তন শিক্ষার্থী ফিরোজা নাজনীন মর্যাদাপূর্ণ জাপানি MEXT Scholarship অর্জন করে পিএইচডি প্রোগ্রামের জন্য নির্বাচিত হয়েছেন। এ উপলক্ষে তিনি জাপান দূতাবাসের পক্ষ থেকে সংবর্ধনা পেয়েছেন।

বাংলাদেশ থেকে এ বছর মোট ১৬৬ জন মেধাবী শিক্ষার্থী ও গবেষক MEXT Scholarship অর্জন করেছেন। তাঁদের মধ্যে ইসলামী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় থেকে সুযোগ পেয়েছেন মাত্র একজন। আইসিটি বিভাগ থেকে এই প্রথম কোনো প্রাক্তন শিক্ষার্থী পিএইচডি প্রোগ্রামের জন্য জাপানি MEXT Scholarship অর্জন করেছেন।

২০০৮-০৯ শিক্ষাবর্ষের ফিরোজা নাজনীন বর্তমানে গ্রিন ইউনিভার্সিটি অব বাংলাদেশ-এর কম্পিউটার সায়েন্স অ্যান্ড ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং বিভাগে শিক্ষকতা করছেন। তিনি "ডিজিটাল প্যাথলজি" বিষয়ে পিএইচডি গবেষনার জন্য ইউনিভার্সিটি রেকমেন্ডেশনের মাধ্যমে তিনি MEXT Doctoral Program-এর জন্য নির্বাচিত হয়েছেন।

আইসিটি পরিবারের পক্ষ থেকে ফিরোজা নাজনীনকে আন্তরিক অভিনন্দন ও শুভকামনা। তাঁর সফল গবেষণাযাত্রা ও উজ্জ্বল ভবিষ্যৎ কামনা করছি।

Seminar on Shaping Our Future: Preparing Ourselves to Thrive in the Era of Artificial Intelligence Successfully Held at Islamic University

The IEEE Islamic University Student Branch, in collaboration with the ICT IU Alumni Association, successfully organized the seminar titled “Shaping Our Future: Preparing Ourselves to Thrive in the Era of Artificial Intelligence” on 10 August 2026 at Islamic University, Bangladesh.

Held at Room 102 of the Ibn Sina Science Building, Islamic University, the seminar brought together more than 200 students and faculty members from different departments of the university. The program aimed to create awareness and meaningful discussion around Artificial Intelligence, emerging technologies, research, innovation, future career opportunities, and the skills needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving technology-driven world.

The event was co-organized by the IEEE Computer Society IU Student Branch Chapter and the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS) IU Student Branch Chapter.

The Student Association of ICT (SAICT), Enhancing Digital Government and Economy (EDGE) Project, joined the program as Technical Partners, while the Islamic University Cyber Security Society (IUCSS), IU Mathematics Club, and Islamic University Career Club were associated with the event as Community Partners.

The program began with the Technical Session.

Prof. Dr. Tarek Hasan Al Mahmud, Chairman, Department of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Islamic University, and Advisor, IEEE Islamic University Student Branch, delivered a technical presentation titled “Next-Generation Signal Processing in the 6G Era: From Drone Target Precision Sensing to Auditory Assistive Solutions.”

Following the technical presentation, Prof. Dr. Rahamatullah Khondoker of THM University of Applied Sciences, Friedberg, Germany, delivered the keynote speech on the central theme of the seminar.

In his keynote address, Prof. Dr. Rahamatullah Khondoker discussed the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence on education, research, industry, innovation, and future career opportunities. He emphasized the importance of developing AI-related knowledge, research capabilities, critical thinking, and practical technological skills to remain competitive in the rapidly evolving global landscape.

He also encouraged students to explore emerging technologies, international research opportunities, and interdisciplinary applications of Artificial Intelligence. Highlighting the growing influence of AI in both professional and everyday life, he stressed the importance of preparing students with the knowledge and adaptability required for the future.

An interactive Question-and-Answer Session followed the keynote speech, providing participants with an opportunity to interact directly with the speakers and discuss Artificial Intelligence, higher education, research, emerging technologies, career development, and future opportunities.

After the completion of the Technical Session, Keynote Session, and Q&A session, the Closing Ceremony was held in the presence of the distinguished guests.

The Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Islamic University, Prof. Dr. A. K. M. Motinur Rahman, graced the Closing Ceremony as the Chief Guest.

Prof. Dr. Md. Amtaj Hossain, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Islamic University; Prof. Dr. Md. Idrish Ali, Treasurer, Islamic University; and Prof. Dr. Md. Atiqur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Islamic University, attended the ceremony as Special Guests.

The Closing Ceremony began with a welcome address by S M Sajjad Hossain Soykot, Chairperson, IEEE IU Student Branch

In his welcome speech, he welcomed the distinguished guests, speakers, faculty members, students, organizers, and partner organizations. He also highlighted IEEE as the world’s largest technical professional organization and introduced the activities and initiatives of the IEEE Islamic University Student Branch. He spoke about the opportunities IEEE offers students in technical learning, professional development, research, leadership, networking, collaboration, and engagement with the global engineering and technology community.

The program was hosted by Sakeef Mahmud Foysal, General Secretary, IEEE Islamic University Student Branch, who conducted and coordinated the proceedings of the seminar.

Addressing the seminar as Chief Guest, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A. K. M. Motinur Rahman emphasized the need for young people to prepare themselves with the knowledge and skills required to succeed in the era of Artificial Intelligence and rapidly advancing technologies.

He highlighted that the influence of Artificial Intelligence and technology has increased significantly and that AI is becoming an increasingly important part of different areas of human life. He stressed the importance of developing technological skills and capable human resources to address future global challenges.

The Vice-Chancellor particularly encouraged students from engineering and technology-related disciplines to engage actively in research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and startup development.

He urged students not to limit themselves to preparing only for conventional employment opportunities. Instead, he encouraged them to develop creativity, technological competence, and an entrepreneurial mindset so that they can create new opportunities for themselves and others. He particularly inspired students to think about startups, innovation, and creating employment opportunities through technology.

He also highlighted the university administration’s efforts to create an environment where students can develop their talents, acquire internationally competitive skills, engage in modern research, and pursue innovative technological initiatives. He expressed optimism that, with the right environment and opportunities, students of Islamic University can achieve significant success in Artificial Intelligence and other emerging areas of technology.

The seminar was chaired by Prof. Dr. Md. Zahidul Islam, Counselor, IEEE Islamic University Student Branch, who delivered the closing remarks at the end of the program.

During the Closing Ceremony, commemorative crests were presented to the distinguished guests and speakers as tokens of appreciation and respect.

With the enthusiastic participation of more than 200 students and faculty members, the seminar became an engaging platform for knowledge sharing, technical learning, professional development, research inspiration, and meaningful discussion on preparing students to thrive in the era of Artificial Intelligence.

ইসলামী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ইবনে সিনা বিজ্ঞান ভবনের ১০২ নম্বর কক্ষে আয়োজিত এ সেমিনারে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের বিভিন্ন বিভাগের ২০০-এর অধিক শিক্ষার্থী ও শিক্ষক অংশগ্রহণ করেন। কৃত্রিম বুদ্ধিমত্তা, উদীয়মান প্রযুক্তি, গবেষণা ও উদ্ভাবন, ভবিষ্যৎ ক্যারিয়ার এবং দ্রুত পরিবর্তনশীল প্রযুক্তিনির্ভর বিশ্বে নিজেদের প্রস্তুত করার জন্য প্রয়োজনীয় দক্ষতা নিয়ে সচেতনতা ও অর্থবহ আলোচনা তৈরিই ছিল আয়োজনটির অন্যতম উদ্দেশ্য।

অনুষ্ঠানটি সহ-আয়োজন করে IEEE Computer Society IU Student Branch Chapter এবং IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS) IU Student Branch Chapter।

টেকনিক্যাল পার্টনার হিসেবে যুক্ত ছিল Student Association of ICT (SAICT), Enhancing Digital Government and Economy (EDGE) Project, কমিউনিটি পার্টনার হিসেবে যুক্ত ছিল Islamic University Cyber Security Society (IUCSS), IU Mathematics Club এবং Islamic University Career Club।

অনুষ্ঠানের শুরুতেই অনুষ্ঠিত হয় টেকনিক্যাল সেশন।

টেকনিক্যাল সেশনে ইসলামী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ইনফরমেশন অ্যান্ড কমিউনিকেশন টেকনোলজি (ICT) বিভাগের সভাপতি এবং IEEE Islamic University Student Branch-এর উপদেষ্টা অধ্যাপক ড. তারেক হাসান আল মাহমুদ “Next-Generation Signal Processing in the 6G Era: From Drone Target Precision Sensing to Auditory Assistive Solutions” শীর্ষক একটি বিশেষ টেকনিক্যাল বক্তব্য উপস্থাপন করেন।

এরপর সেমিনারের মূল বিষয়ের ওপর কী-নোট বক্তব্য প্রদান করেন জার্মানির THM University of Applied Sciences, Friedberg, Germany-এর অধ্যাপক ড. রহমতউল্লাহ খন্দকার।

তাঁর মূল বক্তব্যে অধ্যাপক ড. রহমতউল্লাহ খন্দকার শিক্ষা, গবেষণা, শিল্প, উদ্ভাবন এবং ভবিষ্যৎ কর্মক্ষেত্রে কৃত্রিম বুদ্ধিমত্তার রূপান্তরমূলক প্রভাব তুলে ধরেন। দ্রুত বিকাশমান AI প্রযুক্তির সঙ্গে তাল মিলিয়ে চলতে শিক্ষার্থীদের AI-সংশ্লিষ্ট জ্ঞান, গবেষণার সক্ষমতা, সমালোচনামূলক চিন্তাশক্তি এবং বাস্তবমুখী প্রযুক্তিগত দক্ষতা অর্জনের গুরুত্বের ওপর তিনি বিশেষভাবে গুরুত্বারোপ করেন।

একই সঙ্গে তিনি শিক্ষার্থীদের উদীয়মান প্রযুক্তি, আন্তর্জাতিক গবেষণার সুযোগ এবং কৃত্রিম বুদ্ধিমত্তার আন্তঃবিষয়ক প্রয়োগ সম্পর্কে জানার ও কাজ করার আহ্বান জানান। পেশাগত ও দৈনন্দিন জীবনের বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রে AI-এর ক্রমবর্ধমান প্রভাবের কথা উল্লেখ করে তিনি শিক্ষার্থীদের ভবিষ্যতের জন্য প্রয়োজনীয় জ্ঞান ও দক্ষতা অর্জনের ওপর গুরুত্ব দেন।

কী-নোট বক্তব্যের পর অনুষ্ঠিত হয় একটি প্রাণবন্ত প্রশ্নোত্তর পর্ব। এতে অংশগ্রহণকারীরা বক্তাদের সঙ্গে সরাসরি মতবিনিময়ের সুযোগ পান এবং কৃত্রিম বুদ্ধিমত্তা, উচ্চশিক্ষা, গবেষণা, উদীয়মান প্রযুক্তি, ক্যারিয়ার উন্নয়ন ও ভবিষ্যৎ সুযোগ নিয়ে বিভিন্ন প্রশ্ন করেন।

টেকনিক্যাল সেশন, কী-নোট বক্তব্য এবং প্রশ্নোত্তর পর্ব শেষে সম্মানিত অতিথিদের উপস্থিতিতে অনুষ্ঠিত হয় সেমিনারের সমাপনী পর্ব।

সমাপনী অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন ইসলামী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের মাননীয় উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক ড. এ কে এম মতিনুর রহমান।

বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন ইসলামী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উপ-উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক ড. মো. এমতাজ হোসেন, ট্রেজারার অধ্যাপক ড. মো. ইদ্রিস আলী এবং প্রকৌশল ও প্রযুক্তি অনুষদের ডিন অধ্যাপক ড. মো. আতিকুর রহমান।

সমাপনী পর্বের শুরুতে স্বাগত বক্তব্য প্রদান করেন IEEE Islamic University Student Branch-এর চেয়ারপার্সন এস এম সাজ্জাদ হোসেন সৈকত।

স্বাগত বক্তব্যে তিনি সম্মানিত অতিথিবৃন্দ, বক্তা, শিক্ষক, শিক্ষার্থী, আয়োজক ও সহযোগী সংগঠনসমূহকে স্বাগত জানান। একই সঙ্গে বিশ্বের বৃহত্তম টেকনিক্যাল প্রফেশনাল অর্গানাইজেশন হিসেবে IEEE-এর ভূমিকা এবং IEEE Islamic University Student Branch-এর বিভিন্ন কার্যক্রম ও উদ্যোগ সম্পর্কে আলোকপাত করেন। শিক্ষার্থীদের প্রযুক্তিগত জ্ঞান অর্জন, গবেষণা, পেশাগত দক্ষতা উন্নয়ন, নেতৃত্ব বিকাশ, নেটওয়ার্কিং এবং আন্তর্জাতিক পর্যায়ে প্রযুক্তি ও প্রকৌশল সংশ্লিষ্ট কমিউনিটির সঙ্গে সম্পৃক্ত হওয়ার ক্ষেত্রে IEEE-এর বিভিন্ন সুযোগের কথাও তিনি তুলে ধরেন।

প্রধান অতিথির বক্তব্যে মাননীয় উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক ড. এ কে এম মতিনুর রহমান কৃত্রিম বুদ্ধিমত্তা এবং দ্রুত বিকাশমান প্রযুক্তির যুগে সফলভাবে এগিয়ে যেতে তরুণদের প্রয়োজনীয় জ্ঞান ও দক্ষতায় নিজেদের প্রস্তুত করার ওপর গুরুত্বারোপ করেন।

তিনি বলেন, বর্তমান বিশ্বে কৃত্রিম বুদ্ধিমত্তা ও প্রযুক্তির প্রভাব বহুগুণ বৃদ্ধি পেয়েছে এবং মানবজীবনের বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রে AI ক্রমেই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ হয়ে উঠছে। ভবিষ্যতের বৈশ্বিক চ্যালেঞ্জ মোকাবিলায় প্রযুক্তিগত দক্ষতা ও সক্ষম মানবসম্পদ গড়ে তোলার ওপর তিনি বিশেষ গুরুত্ব দেন।

বিশেষ করে প্রকৌশল ও প্রযুক্তি সংশ্লিষ্ট বিভাগের শিক্ষার্থীদের গবেষণা, উদ্ভাবন, উদ্যোক্তা কার্যক্রম এবং স্টার্টআপ তৈরির দিকে এগিয়ে আসতে তিনি উৎসাহিত করেন।

উপাচার্য শিক্ষার্থীদের শুধু প্রচলিত চাকরির জন্য নিজেদের প্রস্তুত করার মধ্যে সীমাবদ্ধ না থেকে জ্ঞান, সৃজনশীলতা, প্রযুক্তিগত দক্ষতা এবং উদ্যোক্তা মানসিকতার মাধ্যমে নিজেদের ও অন্যদের জন্য নতুন কর্মসংস্থানের সুযোগ তৈরির আহ্বান জানান। তিনি শিক্ষার্থীদের স্টার্টআপ, উদ্ভাবন এবং প্রযুক্তির মাধ্যমে নতুন কর্মসংস্থান সৃষ্টির বিষয়ে চিন্তা করার জন্য বিশেষভাবে উৎসাহিত করেন।

একই সঙ্গে তিনি শিক্ষার্থীদের মেধা বিকাশ, আন্তর্জাতিক মানের দক্ষতা অর্জন, আধুনিক গবেষণায় সম্পৃক্ত হওয়া এবং নতুন প্রযুক্তিগত উদ্যোগ গ্রহণের জন্য উপযুক্ত পরিবেশ তৈরিতে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় প্রশাসনের প্রচেষ্টার কথা তুলে ধরেন। প্রয়োজনীয় পরিবেশ ও সুযোগ পেলে ইসলামী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষার্থীরা কৃত্রিম বুদ্ধিমত্তাসহ বিভিন্ন উদীয়মান প্রযুক্তির ক্ষেত্রে উল্লেখযোগ্য সাফল্য অর্জন করতে পারবে বলে তিনি আশাবাদ ব্যক্ত করেন।

সেমিনারে সভাপতিত্ব করেন IEEE Islamic University Student Branch-এর Counselor অধ্যাপক ড. মো. জাহিদুল ইসলাম। অনুষ্ঠানের শেষ পর্যায়ে তিনি সমাপনী বক্তব্য প্রদান করেন।

ইনফরমেশন অ্যান্ড কমিউনিকেশন টেকনোলজি বিভাগের অ্যালমনাই ও বর্তমান শিক্ষার্থীদের অবগতির জন্য জানানো যাচ্ছে যে, বিভাগের শিক্ষার্থী ও অ্যালামনাইদের তথ্য সংরক্ষণ, পারস্পরিক যোগাযোগ এবং পেশাগত নেটওয়ার্ক সম্প্রসারণের লক্ষ্যে ICT IU Web Portal-এ একটি আধুনিক Profile Management System চালু করা হয়েছে।

ICT IU Silver Jubilee and Reunion 2026-এর নিবন্ধিত সদস্যরা পূর্বের একই অ্যাকাউন্ট ব্যবহার করে ওয়েবপোর্টালে লগইন করে তাদের ব্যক্তিগত, শিক্ষাগত, পেশাগত, স্কিল, প্রজেক্ট ও প্রকাশনাসংক্রান্ত তথ্য হালনাগাদ করতে পারবেন। যাদের প্রোফাইল ইতোমধ্যে সংযুক্ত নেই, তারা প্রয়োজনীয় তথ্য প্রদান করে যাচাইকরণের আবেদন করতে পারবেন।

অত্র বিভাগের সকল অ্যালামনাই ও বর্তমান শিক্ষার্থীকে পোর্টালে লগইন করে নিজ নিজ প্রোফাইলের প্রয়োজনীয় তথ্য সম্পূর্ণ ও হালনাগাদ করার জন্য বিশেষভাবে আহ্বান জানানো হচ্ছে।

সবার সক্রিয় অংশগ্রহণের মাধ্যমে বিভাগের শিক্ষার্থী ও অ্যালামনাইদের মধ্যে একটি শক্তিশালী, নির্ভরযোগ্য ও কার্যকর পেশাগত নেটওয়ার্ক গড়ে উঠবে বলে আমরা আশা করি।

Freshers' Orientation Program 2026

আজ ইসলামী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ইনফরমেশন অ্যান্ড কমিউনিকেশন টেকনোলজি (ICT) বিভাগের ২০২৫-২৬ শিক্ষাবর্ষের ২৮তম ব্যাচের নবীন শিক্ষার্থীদের বরণ করে নিতে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে Freshers' Orientation Program 2026।

অনুষ্ঠানে বিভাগের সম্মানিত শিক্ষকবৃন্দ উপস্থিত ছিলেন। অনুষ্ঠানে সভাপতিত্ব করেন অত্র বিভাগের সভাপতি প্রফেসর ড. তারেক হাসান আল মাহমুদ।

স্টুডেন্টস অ্যাসোসিয়েশন অব আইসিটি (এসএআইসিটি)-এর উদ্যোগে ওরিয়েন্টেশন প্রোগ্রামের অংশ হিসেবে একটি বৃক্ষরোপণ কর্মসূচির আয়োজন করা হয়। নবীন শিক্ষার্থীদের শুভেচ্ছা উপহার হিসেবে একটি করে গাছ ও অন্যান্য উপহার প্রদান করা হয়। পরবর্তীতে সেই গাছগুলো বিভাগ প্রাঙ্গণে রোপণ করা হয়, যা পরিবেশ সংরক্ষণে সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধি এবং সবুজ ক্যাম্পাস গড়ে তোলার একটি প্রশংসনীয় উদ্যোগ।

আইসিটি পরিবারের নতুন সদস্যদের জানাই আন্তরিক শুভেচ্ছা ও অভিনন্দন। আশা করি, তাদের বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় জীবন জ্ঞানার্জন, সৃজনশীলতা, নেতৃত্ব, সহমর্মিতা ও সাফল্যে পরিপূর্ণ হবে।

*আইসিটি বিভাগের সভাপতিকে হেনস্থার ঘটনা নিয়ে সভাপতির বক্তব্য*

বিভিন্ন গনমাধ্যম-এর মাধ্যমে জানতে পারলাম যে মাননীয় উপাচার্য মহোদয় বলেছেন:

"নিয়োগে স্বচ্ছতার ব্যাপারে আমি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের যে কাউকে এবং রাষ্ট্রীয় সংস্থাকেও চ্যালেঞ্জ দিতে পারি। আইসিটি বিভাগের ব্যাপারে কিছু অভিযোগ আসায় তা সাময়িকভাবে স্থগিত রয়েছে, আমি বিষয়টি দেখছি।"

আমি নিয়োগ বোর্ডের একজন সদস্য হিসেবে তাঁর এই বক্তব্যের প্রতি পূর্ণ সমর্থন জানাই। একই সঙ্গে বর্তমান উদ্ভূত পরিস্থিতির বিষয়টি সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্তৃপক্ষ নিরপেক্ষভাবে যাচাই করে যথাযথ সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণ করবেন, এই বিশ্বাস ও আস্থা ব্যক্ত করছি।

সাম্প্রতিক সময়ে বিভিন্ন গণমাধ্যমে আমার ভূমিকা সম্পর্কে কিছু সংবাদ প্রকাশিত হয়েছে, যার কয়েকটি বিষয়ে সত্যতা স্পষ্ট করার প্রয়োজন অনুভব করছি।

প্রথমত, একাধিক সংবাদে বলা হয়েছে যে নিয়োগ বোর্ডের আগেরদিন আমি (সভাপতি), নিয়োগ বোর্ডের এক্সপার্ট সদস্যের সঙ্গে দিশা টাওয়ারে দেখা করেছি। এই তথ্য সম্পূর্ণ মিথ্যা ও বানোয়াট। মূলত ওই সময় আমি আমার বিভাগেই আমার রিসার্চ-প্রজেক্টের শিক্ষার্থীদের সঙ্গে অবস্থান করছিলাম এবং তাদের রিসার্চ ওয়ার্ক দেখাশোনা করছিলাম। এ ধরনের বিষয়ে কারও বক্তব্য বা ধারণার ওপর নির্ভর না করে সরাসরি প্রমাণের ভিত্তিতে সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়াই সমীচীন। বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সিসিটিভি ফুটেজ যাচাই করলেই বিষয়টি সহজেই প্রমাণিত হবে।

আমি চ্যালেঞ্জ করে বলছি, নিয়োগ বোর্ডের আগের দিন শুধু দিশা টাওয়ারেই নয়, কোথাও যদি কেউ এক্সপার্ট সদস্যের সঙ্গে আমার সাক্ষাতের কোনো প্রমাণ উপস্থাপন করতে পারেন, তবে আমি যে কোনো শাস্তি মেনে নিতে প্রস্তুত। পক্ষান্তরে, যদি প্রমাণিত হয় যে সংশ্লিষ্ট সময়ে আমি আমার বিভাগে এবং বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের গেস্ট হাউসে অবস্থান করছিলাম, তাহলে আমার বিরুদ্ধে এ ধরনের অভিযোগ প্রচারকারীরা সাংবাদিকতার নৈতিকতা রক্ষায় যথাযথ অবস্থান গ্রহণ করবেন এটাই আমার প্রত্যাশা।

দ্বিতীয়ত, অভিযোগ করা হয়েছে যে আমি বিভাগে পরীক্ষা কমিটি-সংক্রান্ত তথ্য দিতে গড়িমসি করেছি এবং এ ধরনের শিরোনাম ও আমার ছবি ব্যবহার করে বিভিন্ন নিউজ পোর্টালে সংবাদ প্রকাশ করা হয়েছে। যা সম্পূর্ণ মিথ্যাচার ও আমার জন্য অত্যন্ত মানহানিকর।

আমি একজন শিক্ষক ও বিভাগীয় দায়িত্বশীল ব্যক্তি হিসেবে জানিয়েছিলাম যে পরীক্ষা-সংক্রান্ত তথ্য বিভাগীয় কমিটির সম্মতি ছাড়া তাৎক্ষণিকভাবে প্রদান করা আমার পক্ষে সমীচীন নয়। আমি তাঁদের লিখিত আবেদন দিতে অনুরোধ করি এবং বলি যে বিভাগীয় কমিটির সম্মতি গ্রহণ করে যথাযথভাবে তথ্য প্রদান করা হবে। কিন্তু তাঁরা লিখিত আবেদন না দিয়ে তখনই তথ্য প্রদানের জন্য অনড় অবস্থান নেন এবং বিষয়টি নিয়ে উত্তেজিত প্রতিক্রিয়া দেখান।

পরবর্তীতে তাঁরা তথ্য অধিকার আইনের বিষয়টি উল্লেখ করেন এবং বিভাগের সিনিয়র শিক্ষক অধ্যাপক ড. মাহবুবুর রহমান স্যারের সঙ্গে যোগাযোগ করতে বলেন। আমি তাৎক্ষণিকভাবে স্যারের সঙ্গে যোগাযোগ করি এবং তিনি তথ্য প্রদান করা যেতে পারে বলে অভিমত দেন।

এরপর আমি বিভাগের কর্মকর্তা জনাব শহীদুল ইসলাম চৌধুরীকে তথ্য সংগ্রহের জন্য অনুরোধ করি। তিনি জানান যে, তথ্যগুলো প্রায় ১৫ বছর পুরোনো এবং একাধিক পুরোনো ফাইল ঘেঁটে বের করতে হবে, যা স্বাভাবিকভাবেই সময়সাপেক্ষ। তিনি কিছু সময় চাইলেও তাঁরা অপেক্ষা না করে তাৎক্ষণিকভাবে তথ্য নেওয়ার ওপর জোর দেন।

পরবর্তীতে জনাব চৌধুরী দীর্ঘ সময় পরিশ্রম করে তথ্যগুলো সংগ্রহ করার চেস্টা করেন। তিনি বয়স্ক এবং ডায়াবেটিসজনিত সমস্যায় আক্রান্ত হওয়া সত্ত্বেও দীর্ঘ সময় কাজ করতে গিয়ে তিনি খাবার ও ঔষধ গ্রহণের সুযোগও পাননি বলে আক্ষেপ করেন। এরপরও বিভাগের পক্ষ থেকে আন্তরিকতার সঙ্গে তাঁদের প্রয়োজনীয় তথ্য প্রদানের যথাসম্ভব চেস্টা করা হয়। এরপরও তথ্য প্রদানে গড়িমসির অভিযোগ কীভাবে করা হচ্ছে, তা আমার বোধগম্য নয়।

পরবর্তীতে সাংবাদিক নিয়ামুতুল্লাহ আমাকে ফোন করে *জোচ্চর* বলে সম্বোধন করেন এবং প্রশ্ন করেন, “তথ্যের মূল নথির কপি বা ছবি প্রদান কেন করা হয়নি?”। তার এহেন আচরণের পরেও আমি তাকে স্বাভাবিকভাবেই জানাই যে, যদি কোনো তথ্য নিয়ে সন্দেহ থাকে, তাহলে বিভাগে এসে মূল নথির সঙ্গে মিলিয়ে দেখতে পারেন। মূল নথির কপি এভাবে অনানুষ্ঠানিকভাবে প্রদান করা সমীচিন নয়।

কিন্তু উক্ত সাংবাদিক আমাকে, "কেন আসব? আপনাকে কি আমি গুনি? আপনাকে কি ক্যাম্পাসের কেউ গোনে?", "আপনার গলায় দড়ি ঝুলবে" ইত্যাদি ধরনের অশোভন, অপেশাদার, অসৌজন্যমূলক আচরণ ও হুমকিস্বরূপ মন্তব্য করেন।

দায়িত্বশীল শিক্ষক হিসেবে একজন চলমান শিক্ষার্থীর মুখে এমন মন্তব্য আমাকে অত্যন্ত মর্মাহত ও মানসিকভাবে আঘাত করেছে। এছাড়াও আমাকে নিয়ে গনমাধ্যমে মিথ্যা ও বিভ্রান্তিমূলক তথ্য প্রচার করে আমার ব্যাপকভাবে সম্মানহানি করা হয়েছে।

আমি দৃঢ়ভাবে বিশ্বাস করি, তাৎক্ষণিক পরিস্থিতি বিবেচনায় আমি প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক শৃঙ্খলা বজায় রাখার যথাযথ ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করেছি। কোথাও যদি আমার কোনো আচরণে অযথা বিলম্ব, গাফিলতি বা দায়িত্বে অবহেলার প্রমাণ থাকে, তা অবশ্যই নিরপেক্ষভাবে উপস্থাপন করা হোক। আমি সবসময় প্রমাণভিত্তিক মূল্যায়নকে স্বাগত জানাই।

আমি আমার অবস্থান ও ঘটনার প্রকৃত বিবরণ সবার সামনে তুলে ধরলাম। আমার বিশ্বাস, নিরপেক্ষভাবে বিষয়গুলো বিবেচনা করলে সত্য, পেশাগত দায়িত্ববোধ, সততা এবং বাস্তবতা সবকিছুই স্পষ্ট হয়ে উঠবে।

জার্মানিতে আন্তর্জাতিক গবেষণা ও শিক্ষা কর্মসূচিতে অংশগ্রহণ করছেন আইসিটি বিভাগের দুই অধ্যাপক।

ইসলামী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় (ইবি), কুষ্টিয়ার ইনফরমেশন অ্যান্ড কমিউনিকেশন টেকনোলজি (আইসিটি) বিভাগের দুই বিশিষ্ট শিক্ষক প্রফেসর ড. মোঃ জাহিদুল ইসলাম এবং প্রফেসর ড. মোঃ জসিম উদ্দিন জার্মানির টেকনিশে হখশুলে মিটেলহেসেন (THM – Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen University of Applied Sciences)-এ অনুষ্ঠিতব্য “International Research & Teaching Days 2026” কর্মসূচিতে অংশগ্রহণের জন্য আমন্ত্রিত হয়েছেন।

আগামী ৮ জুন থেকে ১২ জুন ২০২৬ পর্যন্ত জার্মানির গিসেন শহরে এ আন্তর্জাতিক কর্মসূচি অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। সফরের অংশ হিসেবে তাঁদের ৭ জুন জার্মানিতে পৌঁছানোর এবং ১৩ জুন দেশে ফেরার কথা রয়েছে। কর্মসূচিটি ইউরোপীয় ইউনিয়নের Erasmus+ KA171 সহযোগিতা প্রকল্পের আওতায় সম্পূর্ণ অর্থায়নে পরিচালিত হবে।

বিশ্বের বিভিন্ন দেশের খ্যাতিমান গবেষক, বিজ্ঞানী ও বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অধ্যাপকবৃন্দ এ আয়োজনে অংশগ্রহণ করবেন। বাংলাদেশ থেকেও কয়েকজন নির্বাচিত গবেষক ও অধ্যাপক এই আন্তর্জাতিক কর্মসূচিতে অংশ নিচ্ছেন। তাঁদের মধ্যে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়, বাংলাদেশ প্রকৌশল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় (বুয়েট) এবং জাহাঙ্গীরনগর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের গবেষক-অধ্যাপকবৃন্দও রয়েছেন।

উল্লেখ্য, ইসলামী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ও জার্মানির THM-এর মধ্যে চলমান একাডেমিক ও গবেষণা সহযোগিতার ধারাবাহিকতায় এই আমন্ত্রণ প্রদান করা হয়েছে। কর্মসূচিতে অংশগ্রহণকালে প্রফেসর ড. মোঃ জাহিদুল ইসলাম এবং প্রফেসর ড. মোঃ জসিম উদ্দিন তাঁদের গবেষণা কার্যক্রম, উদ্ভাবনী শিক্ষা পদ্ধতি এবং তথ্যপ্রযুক্তি খাতের সমসাময়িক বিভিন্ন বিষয় আন্তর্জাতিক পরিমণ্ডলে উপস্থাপন করবেন। এছাড়াও THM-এর শিক্ষার্থী, গবেষক ও আন্তর্জাতিক অংশগ্রহণকারীদের সঙ্গে তাঁরা মতবিনিময় ও একাডেমিক অভিজ্ঞতা বিনিময়ে অংশ নেবেন।

এই কর্মসূচিতে তাঁদের ৪৫ মিনিটব্যাপী গবেষণা উপস্থাপনা এবং বিভিন্ন একাডেমিক সেশনে অংশগ্রহণের কথা রয়েছে। পাশাপাশি ইসলামী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষা ও গবেষণা কার্যক্রম আন্তর্জাতিক পরিমণ্ডলে তুলে ধরার সুযোগ সৃষ্টি হবে বলে সংশ্লিষ্টরা মনে করছেন।

সফরের অংশ হিসেবে তাঁরা জার্মানির পাশাপাশি ফ্রান্স ও ইতালিও সফর করবেন। এ সময় বিভিন্ন শিক্ষা ও গবেষণা প্রতিষ্ঠানের কার্যক্রম পর্যবেক্ষণ এবং আন্তর্জাতিক একাডেমিক যোগাযোগ সম্প্রসারণের সুযোগ সৃষ্টি হবে।

আইসিটি বিভাগের পক্ষ থেকে প্রফেসর ড. মোঃ জাহিদুল ইসলাম এবং প্রফেসর ড. মোঃ জসিম উদ্দিন-এর সফল সফর ও আন্তর্জাতিক অঙ্গনে বাংলাদেশের উচ্চশিক্ষা ও গবেষণার সুনাম আরও সমৃদ্ধ করার জন্য আন্তরিক শুভকামনা জানানো হচ্ছে।
