A workshop titled “Academic Cycle Management for Effective Teaching-Learning” was held on August 22, 2026 (Saturday) at 10:00 am in the Syed Nazrul Islam Conference Hall of Bangldesh Agricultural University (BAU). The event was arranged by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of BAU and was graced by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Professor Dr. G.M. Mujibur Rahman as the Chief Patron. The Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries, Professor Dr. Md. Ali Reza Faruk and the Controller of Examinations, Professor Dr. Zoarder Faruque Ahmed, were present as Special Guests. In addition, the Additional Director of IQAC, Professor Dr. Shaheed Reza was present on the stage as the reporter.
The workshop was chaired by the Director IQAC, Professor Dr. Mst. Minara Khatun and the IQAC Additional Director Professor Dr. Murad Ahmed Farukh conducted the workshop. It was facilitated by Professor Dr. Md. Zulfikar Rahman of Department of Extension Education and Professor Dr. A. K. M. Ahsan Kabir, Department of Animal Science, BAU. The special guests and the president gave guidance and constructive speeches on the content of the workshop.
In his address, the Chief Patron, Professor Dr. G.M. Mujibur Rahman emphasized the important of academic cycle management for all the teachers of the university. He acknowledged that it may not be possible for all the teachers to accommodate in such workshops, if the participants of this workshop go back to their own faculties and organize such small workshops in their respective departments, then it would be very fruitful. Many workshops have already been organized by the IQAC and we actually need to utilize the knowledge gained through those workshops. He also told that the report prepared through today’s workshop on problems, remedies, etc. should be sent to all the faculties. If necessary, the faculties should take some responsibility and conduct such workshops in the faculties themselves, with those of us who are participating here today, those who are capable. He mentioned this academic cycle management as very timely and important and wished the workshop success.
It is to be noted that a total of 105 respected teachers from six faculties and five institutes of this university participated in the day-long workshop. In the second half of the workshop, detailed discussions were held on the effective teaching and learning process of teachers.
[বাংলাদেশ কৃষি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় (বাকৃবি)-এর ইনস্টিটিউশনাল কোয়ালিটি অ্যাস্যুরেন্স সেল (আইকিউএসি)-এর উদ্যোগে শিক্ষকদের নিয়ে “Academic Cycle Management for Effective Teaching-Learning” শীর্ষক এক কর্মশালা গত ২২ আগস্ট, ২০২৬ (শনিবার) সকাল ১০:০০ ঘটিকায় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সৈয়দ নজরুল ইসলাম কনফারেন্স হলে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে। উক্ত কর্মশালায় প্রধান পৃষ্ঠপোষক হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন কৃষি অনুষদের ডিন প্রফেসর ড. জি.এম. মুজিবর রহমান। বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন মাৎস্যবিজ্ঞান অনুষদের ডিন প্রফেসর ড. মো: আলী রেজা ফারুক এবং পরীক্ষা নিয়ন্ত্রক প্রফেসর ড. জোয়ার্দার ফারুক আহমেদ। এছাড়াও আইকিউএসি-এর অতিরিক্ত পরিচালক প্রফেসর ড. শাহেদ রেজা রেপোর্টিয়ার হিসেবে মঞ্চে উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
আইকিউএসি-এর পরিচালক প্রফেসর ড. মোছা. মিনারা খাতুন এর সভাপতিত্বে এবং অতিরিক্ত পরিচালক প্রফেসর ড. মুরাদ আহমেদ ফারুখের সঞ্চালনায় পরিচালিত উক্ত কর্মশালায় ফ্যাসিলিটেটর হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন প্রফেসর ড. মো: জুলফিকার রহমান এবং প্রফেসর ড. এ. কে. এম আহসান কবীর। বিশেষ অতিথিদ্বয় এবং সভাপতি কর্মশালার বিষয়বস্তু নিয়ে দিকনির্দেশনা ও গঠনমূলক বক্তব্য প্রদান করেন।
প্রধান পৃষ্ঠপোষকের বক্তব্যে প্রফেসর ড. জি. এম. মুজিবর রহমান বলেন যে 'একাডেমিক সাইকেল ম্যানেজমেন্ট' এটি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সমস্ত শিক্ষকের জন্যই খুব জরুরি। এ ধরনের ওয়ার্কশপে সমস্ত শিক্ষকের অংশগ্রহণ সম্ভব নাহলেও আজকে এই এই ওয়ার্কশপের অংশগ্রহণকারীবৃন্দ যদি স্ব-স্ব অনুষদে ফিরে গিয়ে নিজ নিজ বিভাগে এ ধরনের ছোটখাটো কর্মশালার আয়োজন করেন, তাহলে মনে হয় এটি অনেকটা ফলপ্রসূ হবে। আইকিউএসিতে ইতিমধ্যেই অনেকগুলো কর্মশালা করা হয়েছে সেগুলো আসলে আমাদের কাজে লাগানো দরকার। তিনি আরও বলেন যে, আজকের এই কর্মশালার মাধ্যমে সমস্যা, প্রতিকার—ইত্যাদি নিয়ে যে প্রতিবেদন তৈরী হবে সেটি সব অনুষদেই পাঠানো দরকার। প্রয়োজনে অনুষদগুলো কিছু দায়িত্ব নিয়ে আমাদের যে যারা আজকে এখানে অংশগ্রহণ করছে, তাদের মধ্যে যারা সক্ষম হয়, তাদেরকে দিয়েই পরবর্তীতে অনুষদেই এ ধরনের কর্মশালা করতে হবে। তিনি এই একাডেমিক সাইকেল ম্যানেজমেন্টের খুবই সময়োপযোগী ও গুরুত্বপূর্ণ উল্লেখ করে কর্মশালার সফলতা কামনা করেন। ।
উল্লেখ্য, দিনব্যাপী পরিচালিত উক্ত কর্মশালায় অত্র বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ছয়টি অনুষদ ও পাঁচটি ইন্সটিটিউটের সর্বমোট ১০৫ জন সন্মানিত শিক্ষক অংশগ্রহণ করেন।কর্মশালায় দ্বিতীয়ার্ধে শিক্ষকদের কার্যকর শিক্ষাদান ও শিখন প্রক্রিয়ার ওপর বিস্তারিত আলোচনা করা হয়।]
