এক হাতে বাঁকা বাঁশের বাঁশরী, আর হাতে রণতূর্য।

তিনি আমাদের শিখিয়েছেন কীভাবে বুক চিতিয়ে অন্যায়ের প্রতিবাদ করতে হয়, আবার কীভাবে অনুভবের সবটুকু দিয়ে ভালোবাসতে হয়। শোষকের তখত কাঁপানো সেই বিদ্রোহী কণ্ঠস্বর আজও আমাদের অন্যায়ের বিরুদ্ধে লড়ার সাহস জোগায়।

"আমি চির-বিদ্রোহী বীর -
বিশ্ব ছাড়ায়ে উঠিয়াছি একা চির-উন্নত শির!"

আজ তাঁর জন্মদিনে কোনো আনুষ্ঠানিকতা নয়, বরং আমাদের বুকের ভেতর অন্যায় রুখে দাঁড়ানোর যে জেদ, তারই পুনর্জন্ম ঘটুক।

ধূমকেতুর মতো এসে আমাদের ঘুমন্ত চেতনাকে জাগিয়ে দেওয়া সেই অগ্নিপুরুষের প্রতি অতল শ্রদ্ধা।
