𝗙𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁 & 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲

Faculty members from the 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 & 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗜𝗣𝗘), the Department of Mechanical Engineering (ME), and the Department of Business Administration, BAUST, recently visited a closed industry operated by the Bangladesh Army at Rangpur Cantonment.

During the visit, the team inspected the overall industrial condition, operational facilities, machinery status, and existing challenges related to restarting the industry. Valuable discussions and 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 were provided regarding possible strategies, operational improvements, and necessary actions required for the successful reopening of the industry.

This initiative reflects the commitment of 𝗕𝗔𝗨𝗦𝗧 towards 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆–𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺-𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴, and contributing technical expertise for 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆.

The 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 and 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗜𝗣𝗘), 𝗕𝗔𝗨𝗦𝗧 successfully completed the seminar titled “𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗕𝗔𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝘁𝗼 𝗨𝗦𝗔: 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴”.

The session was highly informative and inspiring for the students, providing valuable insights into higher studies, research opportunities, scholarship preparation, and academic life abroad. The seminar encouraged students to dream bigger, prepare strategically, and explore global opportunities in the field of Industrial Engineering.

The Department of Industrial & Production Engineering (IPE), BAUST, successfully organized an insightful seminar titled *“From BAUST to USA: Chasing the Graduate Dream in Industrial Engineering”on Sunday, 17 May 2026, at the Seminar Hall.

We were honored to welcome "Ayman Sajjad Akash", an esteemed alumnus of IPE (2nd Batch) and BAUST (4th Batch), currently serving as a Doctoral Graduate Researcher at North Dakota State University (NDSU), USA, as our distinguished speaker. He shared valuable guidance, real-life experiences, and practical insights on pursuing higher studies and research opportunities in the USA.

The session was highly engaging and inspiring for our students, encouraging them to prepare strategically for their academic and professional futures.

The students of 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹-𝟰, 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗺-𝗜 from the 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 and 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗜𝗣𝗘), 𝗕𝗔𝗨𝗦𝗧 successfully presented their experiences, observations, and insights gained from the 𝟭-𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 conducted during the last Ramadan.

Working in different groups across various industries, the students explored real industrial operations, production systems, management practices, and workplace challenges. Through these presentations, they shared valuable practical knowledge and learning outcomes achieved during the attachment period.

This industrial attachment plays a significant role in 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗮𝗽 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹-𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲, helping students enhance their analytical ability, communication skills, teamwork, and professional understanding.
