Department of Economics, Jahangirnagar University Department of Economics is one of the first departments of Jahangirnagar University established in 1970.

Economics has produced talents like Humayun Faridi and Shahiduzzaman Selim. This Department has also produced talents like Anu Muhammad. Economics alone has produced three Vice Chancellors of Jahangirnagar University-- Amirul Islam Chowdhury, Abdul Bayes, and Khandker Mustahidur Rahman. Our objective is to act as a bridge between students of Economics-- past, present, and future. We'd also like to

broaden our own horizon by making friends with students of other Departments of Jahangirnagar University and other Universities. We're happy to welcome you to the Department of Economics, Jahangirnagar University.
