Congratulations to Md. Rayhan Ahmed, Assistant Professor, Dept of CSE, UIU for getting his paper "An Ensemble 1D-CNN-LSTM-GRU Model with Data Augmentation for Speech Emotion Recognition" being accepted in Elsevier journal Expert Systems with Applications (Impact Factor of 8.665, Q1). The co-authors in this paper are Professor Salekul Islam, Professor A. K. M. Muzahidul Islam and Professor Swakkhar Shatabda, all from Dept of CSE, UIU. ~~~UIU Intra University Deep Learning Sprint Contest - Fall 2022~~~

The department of CSE and UIU App Forum organized the "UIU Intra University Deep Learning Sprint Fall 2022" on 26th December, 2022 to provide an opportunity for all the students to measure and showcase their Deep Learning (DL) skills. A total of 20 teams took part in the contest.

~~~Intra University AI Contest - Fall 2022~~~

The department of CSE and UIU APP Forum organized the ''Intra University AI Contest - Fall 2022" on 26th December, 2022. The goal of this contest was to test the contestants' knowledge on Machine Learning. A total of 54 teams took part in the contest.

~Let's take a moment to congratulate all the winners~

The "CSE Project Show | Fall '22" took place on January 2, 2023 with the active participation of more than 800 students. We were all quite impressed by all of the participants' wonderful ideas during their demonstration session. Due to restrictions we might only be able to feature a few of you, but you should all still think of yourselves as winners as you all took part in the event. We hope that your unending effort, dedication, and inventiveness have inspired your juniors in our department as well as in other departments.

Special thanks to the UIU App Forum and UIU Robotics for their outstanding assistance in making the event a success.

The department of CSE, UIU, organized an Inter Section Poster Presentation among all 34 sections of the Life Skills of Success (LSS) course. The event's main objective was to nurture creativity and develop teamwork ethics among the freshers of the CSE Department. Professor Salekul Islam (Head, CSE Dept), Professor Mujahidul Islam (Director, CIAC), Professor Swakkhar Shatabda (Director, IQAC), and Associate Professor Saddam Hossain Mukta (UG Program Coordinator, CSE) acted as honorable judges of the program. Respected Vice Chancellor (In-Charge) Professor Md. Abul Kashem Mia visited the event as a Chief Guest and appreciated the efforts of the youngest students of the CSE Department.

Winners of the Events are as follows:

1st Runner Up: Autonomous Classroom Monitoring System (Section G)
2nd Runner Up: How Europe Stole the World (Section A) and Traditions of Bangladesh (Section AM)
