Shahid Smrity Degree college is one of the best college in Barishal division and it is the second college in Nesarabad(Swarupkathi) Upazila. Sharazul Islam and Principal Md. Shah Alam on Feburay 02, 1986 with only 250 students. The then the name of the college was SHAHID SMRITY COLLEGE. The first Principal of the College was Principal Md. Shah Alam and he is the first teacher from Bengal. In 1989 the then college was MPO listed.
