সিলেট ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটিতে আইন বিভাগের লিগ্যাল কুইজ প্রতিযোগিতা অনুষ্ঠিত:

সিলেট ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটির আইন বিভাগ আয়োজিত ‘লিগ্যাল কুইজ প্রতিযোগিতা, ফল ২০২৬’ অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে। প্রতিযোগিতায় ‘সাইবার সুরক্ষা আইন, ২০২৬’ বিষয়ক কুইজ অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। এতে প্রথম স্থান অধিকার করেন আইন বিভাগের তৃতীয় বর্ষের শিক্ষার্থী মো. ইমামুল ইসলাম সিফাত।

পুরস্কার বিতরণী অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন সিলেট ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটির মাননীয় উপাচার্য প্রফেসর ড. মো. আশরাফুল আলম, বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন মাননীয় ট্রেজারার প্রফেসর নিতাই চন্দ্র চন্দ এবং আইন অনুষদের ডিন প্রফেসর মো. তোতিউর রহমান। অনুষ্ঠানে সভাপতিত্ব করেন আইন বিভাগের বিভাগীয় প্রধান সহযোগী অধ্যাপক মো. মাহমুদুল হাসান খান।

অনুষ্ঠানে উপাচার্য প্রফেসর ড. মো. আশরাফুল আলম স্যার বলেন, আইন বিভাগের শিক্ষার্থীদের দৃঢ়তা, পরিশ্রম ও একাগ্রতাই তাদের সফলতার দিকে এগিয়ে নিয়ে যাবে। তিনি শিক্ষার্থীদের মেধা ও প্রতিভা বিকাশে এ ধরনের আয়োজনের গুরুত্ব তুলে ধরেন।

অনুষ্ঠানের সার্বিক পরিকল্পনা ও সমন্বয়ের দায়িত্বে ছিলেন আইন বিভাগের প্রভাষক মোছা. সাথী মনি। অনুষ্ঠানে শুভেচ্ছা বক্তব্য প্রদান করেন আইন বিভাগের প্রভাষক হাসনাইন মাহমুদ।

অনুষ্ঠানটি উপস্থাপনা করেন আইন বিভাগের তৃতীয় বর্ষের শিক্ষার্থী মান্দুহা খানম ইদনা এবং প্রথম বর্ষের শিক্ষার্থী মিনহাল আহমেদ।

আইন বিভাগের শিক্ষার্থীদের জ্ঞান, মেধা ও প্রতিভা বিকাশের লক্ষ্যে ভবিষ্যতে এ ধরনের আরও কুইজ প্রতিযোগিতা ও বিভিন্ন প্রতিভা অন্বেষণমূলক কার্যক্রম আয়োজন করা হবে বলে আয়োজকরা প্রত্যয় ব্যক্ত করেন।

Shawkat Alam Faisal, Lecturer, Department of Law, SIU, represented Sylhet International University as a Discussant, Evaluator, and Review Board Member at the RURS 2nd International Conference & Research Fair 2026 (RICRF26), held at the University of Rajshahi.

His participation in these roles reflects not only his individual academic engagement but also the commitment of the Department of Law, SIU to research, scholarly dialogue, academic evaluation, and meaningful participation in national and international academic platforms.

We are immensely proud to share two significant achievements from our university fraternity!

Our honorable Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ashraful Alam, was invited as a Facilitator at the prestigious Junior Faculty Professional Development Program (JFPDP) organized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under the Higher Education Acceleration & Transformation (HEAT) Project, with support and funding from the World Bank Group. His facilitation reflects SIU’s commitment to driving academic excellence and professional development across higher education in Bangladesh.

In addition, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Md. Shawkat Alam Faisal, Lecturer, Department of Law, SIU, for being nominated to participate in this 3 months long distinguished capacity-building training program, currently taking place at Gazipur Agricultural University.

📢 Notice: TEAM SELECTION TRIAL | STETSON INTERNATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL MOOT COURT COMPETITION 2026-2027

The Department of Law, Sylhet International University, will be selecting its team of three (two Mooters and one Researcher) to represent the university at the STETSON INTERNATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL MOOT COURT COMPETITION 2026-2027.
Interested students are invited to participate in the selection process, which will be held in three stages:

1️⃣ MCQ Examination
2️⃣ Oral Presentation (summarizing the facts of the case before the judges)
3️⃣ Viva Voce (questions based on the facts of the case)

🕘 Written Examination: 10:00 AM, Room 101, Department of Law, Sylhet International University

🕘 Oral Presentation & Viva: Venue — Conference Room, Sylhet International University. Time to be communicated after the MCQ examination.
