The Department of EEE is pleased to present the first episode of “Coffee & Career,” a faculty career talk series created to share experiences, guidance, and practical insights with our students.

In this episode, Safwan Uddin Ahmed, Assistant Professor & Head, Department of EEE, talks about preparing for higher education abroad and the important steps students can take to build a strong academic and professional profile.

The session covers when to start preparing, how to develop a well-rounded profile, the importance of projects and practical skills, and how to identify universities and research supervisors that match one’s academic interests.

Through Coffee & Career, we hope to bring students closer to the experiences and guidance that can help them make informed decisions about their future.

A Proud Achievement for Our Students

Today, our students successfully presented their project, “Smart Hotel IoT-Based Electricity Monitoring, Occupancy Detection & Remote Energy Control System: A Proposed Cost-Effective IoT Solution for Hill Town Hotel, Sylhet,” at Sylhet Hotel Hill Town.

The presentation was highly appreciated by the Director of Sylhet Hotel Hill Town, who was impressed by the students’ proposed IoT-based solution.

We are delighted to share that our students have been given the opportunity to develop and implement this project for the hotel, with the hotel authority providing the necessary budget for the project.
