Today, on the occasion of International Women's Day, a meaningful seminar was organized by the Leading University Moot Court Society on the theme “𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧: 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞.”
Students from every batch actively shared their thoughts and concerns.
The President of the Moot Court Society highlighted the 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧, 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐮𝐩, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐨𝐟 𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧.
While our respected teachers Mr Maraz Miah, Lecturer,
Mr. Rajib Hossain, Lecturer, Department of Law provided valuable insights on 𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐞𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭.
Mr. Abdullah Al-Mamun, Associate Professor and Head, department of Law and advisor of Leading University Moot court society assured all students 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙨 𝙖 𝙨𝙖𝙛𝙚 𝙨𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙢𝙚𝙙 𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙛𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙤𝙧 𝙞𝙣𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙚.
At a time when we are witnessing deeply disturbing incidents in society, today’s programme reminded us that protecting women’s dignity and rights is a responsibility we all share.
