On 27 August 2026, Dr. Badrun Nessa Ahmed, Senior Research Fellow at the Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS) and Professor at the BIDS Graduate School of Economics, conducted an academic session titled “Ethics, Honesty, and Publication Integrity in Academic Research" at Army Institute of Business Administration (AIBA), Sylhet. The Center for Research and Development (CRD) organized the program at the AIBA Auditorium.

In her keynote speech, Dr. Badrun Nessa focused on academic honesty and ethical research practices. She discussed the importance of data integrity, transparency in analysis, and following ethical publishing standards in academic research.

Alongside research ethics, she highlighted the various research activities and functions of the Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS). She also shared practical advice on career development, talked about how to prepare for various career pathways at BIDS and emphasized essential analytical skills and entry requirements.

Addressing recent discussions on publication integrity and paper retractions, Dr. Badrun Nessa emphasized the need for establishing active Ethical Review Committees (ERC) within academic institutions to ensure research credibility. She also highlighted the importance of ethical student-faculty collaborations, fair co-authorship, and protecting original research work and datasets.

The session featured an interactive Q&A session where both faculty members and students actively participated. The discussion covered practical aspects of data management, publication standards, protecting academic work, and career pathways in the research field. She addressed the questions with practical guidance, sharing examples from her own academic and professional journey. AIBA wished the cooperation in research may continue in engaging students in internship at BIDS in future.

The session was attended by the respected Director of Army IBA, Sylhet, Brig Gen Md Abdul Hye, psc, G+ (LPR), along with faculty members, officers, and students. At the conclusion of the event, a commemorative memento was presented to Dr. Badrun Nessa Ahmed by the Director and faculty members in appreciation of her valuable contribution.

The session concluded with the shared reflection that quality education and uncompromising research integrity remain the cornerstone of national development.

Army Institute of Business Administration (AIBA), Sylhet warmly welcomed our newest cohort, BBA-15, to the campus during the Freshers' Reception on 24 August 2026!
The program commenced with introductory remarks and featured inspiring speeches from representatives of both BBA-14 and BBA-15, establishing a strong foundation of institutional camaraderie.
The agenda included a vibrant cultural program, followed by a motivating address by our respected Director, Brigadier General Md. Abdul Hye, psc, G+ (LPR). He reinforced the rigorous standards of academic excellence, discipline, and core values that define the AIBA experience. ✨
The gathering officially concluded with a memorable photo session, marking the beginning of a promising new chapter for our freshers. 📸

Students from the Army Institute of Business Administration, AIBA Sylhet, have secured 2nd Place (Silver Award) in the Research Proposal Segment at Mentors' Scriptoria: National Literary Fest 2026. The prestigious event, organized by the DU Writers' Hub at the University of Dhaka, took place on July 28–29, 2026.

The distinguished team comprised Erina Akther Ema and Md Golam Mubasshir Rafi from the BBA-11 cohort. They successfully competed and presented their work alongside the top 10 shortlisted finalists representing institutions nationwide.

Their acclaimed research proposal explored sustainable marketing practices and consumer behavior in Bangladesh. The project was conducted under the dedicated guidance and supervision of Mr. Md Ahsanul Islam.
