৯ আগস্ট ২০১০—এই দিনে আমরা হারিয়েছিলাম বিশিষ্ট শিক্ষাবিদ, লেখক ও মানবিক মূল্যবোধসম্পন্ন ব্যক্তিত্ব অধ্যাপক মুহম্মদ আবদুল বারী-কে।

শিক্ষার প্রসার, মানবকল্যাণ ও সামাজিক উন্নয়নে তাঁর অসামান্য অবদান এবং জ্ঞানচর্চা ও নৈতিক আদর্শে সমৃদ্ধ কর্মময় জীবন আজও আমাদের অনুপ্রেরণা জোগায়।

দর্শন, নীতিবিদ্যা ও মুসলিম দর্শনসহ বিভিন্ন বিষয়ে তাঁর রচিত গ্রন্থসমূহ জ্ঞানচর্চায় গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রেখে চলেছে। শিক্ষা বিস্তারে তাঁর দূরদর্শী নেতৃত্বের উজ্জ্বল দৃষ্টান্ত আজও স্মরণীয়।

পিইউবির শিক্ষার্থীদের মেধাবিকাশে তিনি প্রতিষ্ঠা করেন “অধ্যাপক মুহম্মদ আবদুল বারী ও উম্মে সালমা ট্রাস্ট”, যার মাধ্যমে প্রতি বছর সর্বোচ্চ নম্বরধারী শিক্ষার্থীকে গোল্ড মেডেল প্রদান করা হয়।

তাঁর ১৬তম মৃত্যুবার্ষিকীতে দি পিপল’স ইউনিভার্সিটি অব বাংলাদেশ-এর পক্ষ থেকে জানাই গভীর শ্রদ্ধা ও বিনম্র স্মরণ।

🤲 মহান আল্লাহ তায়ালা মরহুম অধ্যাপক মুহম্মদ আবদুল বারীকে ক্ষমা করুন, তাঁর রূহের মাগফিরাত দান করুন, কবরকে নূরে পরিপূর্ণ করুন এবং তাঁকে জান্নাতুল ফেরদৌসের সর্বোচ্চ স্থান দান করুন।

Students of the Department of Tourism & Hospitality Management, The People’s University of Bangladesh, successfully visited Royal Park Residence on 14 May 2026.
The visit offered hands-on learning about hotel operations, guest services, and hospitality industry practices.
