In a present where measure is becoming synonymous with counting, bordering, and quantification, this gathering will explore past, present and future possibilities of poetic measure from a variety of disciplines and critical perspectives, amongst others, poetry, philosophy, poetics, typography, sound, and performance.

Organised by Andrea di Serego Alighieri as the result of his two-year research project at the Academy.

Handmade Block

We manually manufacture a note block to use in the office, for example, to take notes, or as a notepad at school. The note block has lines, a margin, and has 2 punch holes. The size of the paper is A4, and there are at best 100 sheets on a block. So there is plenty of writing space to take notes! 

The note block will be for sale at the end of the week at a correct price at Academia, the store for all your artist supplies in the Mutsaardstraat in Antwerp. 

What to bring
Pencil (blue)
Pencil (red)
Pencil sharpener
Ruler with a minimum length of 40 cm
Perforator or Hollow Pipe (6-8mm)
Hammer (only when using a hollow pipe)
2 pieces of timber (22x45mm), each with a minimum length of 40 cm
2 hex bolts (M8) with full threads and a minimum length of 4 cm
2 wing nuts (M8)
Bookbinding glue (275g)
Grey cardboard (A4) with a minimum thickness of 1mm

Weekly schedule (9am - 5pm)
Monday - Tuesday: manufacturing note block
Wednesday: curing period
Thursday: devising a promotional campaign for the handmade note block
Friday: delivery note block at Academia

Ambachtelijk blok

Wij vervaardigen een ambachtelijk cursusblok om te gebruiken op bijvoorbeeld kantoor om notities te maken, of als notitieblok op school. Het ambachtelijk cursusblok heeft lijntjes, een marge, en is 2-gaats. Het formaat van het papier is A4, en er zitten in het beste geval 100 vellen op een blok. Zo is er genoeg schrijfruimte om notities te maken! 

Het ambachtelijk cursusblok zal aan het einde van de week aan een correcte prijs te koop aangeboden worden in Academia, de winkel voor al uw kunstenaarsbenodigdheden in de Mutsaardstraat in Antwerpen.
