Today the Botswana RECLAIM-Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme team had the pleasure of joining fellow colleagues launching their EU funded mobility project RAMDDA.

During the launch UB Contact person Dr Pulane Koosaletse-Mswela spoke to the project and impact as part opening opportunities to all students for them to be part of this meaningful and inclusive community!

We are excited for the journey ahead and with many students excited to take on the opportunity of being part of RECLAIM this has ignited a passion in promoting academic excellence and building climate resilient, inclusive and innovative education systems!!!

So much more is coming!

Smiles, teamwork, coffee ☕ & important decisions 🌍✨

Today, the RECLAIM team met to discuss the redistribution of scholarships, mobility opportunities & institutional balance across the consortium. From PhDs & Masters to traineeships & staff mobilities, the discussions were productive, engaging & full of positive energy.

Excited to see the RECLAIM-Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme project featured in the official brochure of the Youth Mobility for Africa – Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme (2022–2027) for the 2023–2025 selection period. This initiative is all about strengthening learning, skills, and collaboration across the African continent, bringing together higher education institutions and creating meaningful opportunities for students, trainees, and academic staff to engage in transformative mobility experiences.

Being included in this brochure is more than just visibility, it reflects a shared commitment to advancing academic exchange, fostering cooperation, and contributing to capacity-building in key priority sectors. RECLAIM stands alongside a diverse group of projects that collectively shape the future of education and innovation across Africa, within the broader vision of the Youth Mobility for Africa initiative under the Global Gateway Africa–Europe Investment Package.

Looks like RECLAIM-Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme didn’t get the memo about “keeping results to yourself” 😄

Our consortium is out there sharing, exchanging & spreading ideas across other Intra-Africa Academic Mobility consortia… because what’s the point of impact if it stays in a folder?

Think of it as academic mobility, but for good practices too 🤝🌍

If it works, we share it. If it grows, we scale it. If it inspires, even better.

Proof that serious people at RECLAIM can still take very unserious selfies 😄

Between big ideas, meaningful conversations & at least a few “just one more coffee” moments, we somehow managed to squeeze all this brilliance into one frame… not perfectly, but that’s exactly the RECLAIM spirit.

Different countries, different perspectives, one shared energy — and clearly the same reaction when someone says “selfie!” 📸

Bruxelles is just the backdrop. RECLAIM is the real story.

After a warm and inspiring Opening Ceremony of the Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme, we are officially on the ground, ready to connect, exchange, and co-create. The Official Welcome by Theo Duivenvoorde from the European Education and Culture Executive Agency set a powerful tone, reminding us why mobility, collaboration 🤝 and shared vision matter now more than ever.

And yes… if you guessed the city with the small iconic statue and its playful spirit, you were absolutely right 😉
