A full room and valuable insights into international careers! 💼

Today, Prof. James Bergeron led the lecture “Starting Out in the International Institutions: How to Get It Right”, open to all BA and MA students at the BSoG.

From the EU and NATO to the UN and beyond, students explored the skills, professional mindset and practical knowledge needed to navigate international institutions and prepare for future careers.

The full room reflected our students’ strong interest in international affairs and the opportunities ahead!

Thank you to Prof. James Bergeron for sharing his expertise and encouraging students to think about how they can turn their ambitions into meaningful careers!

📢 Join us on 10 December for the ninth edition of TDI Yearly: Safeguarding European Value Chains in a Turbulent Trading Order!

How can the EU safeguard its global value chains amid rising trade tensions, high tariffs and shifting global trade dynamics?
The conference will explore how the EU can respond to these challenges and whether its trade defence instruments remain fit for purpose in an increasingly turbulent trading order.

📢 Call for an Intern | Migration & Diversity Research

The Brussels Interdisciplinary Research Centre on Migration and Minorities (Brussels Interdisciplinary Research centre on Migration and Minorities) at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB - Vrije Universiteit Brussel) and Research Centre for Migration, Diversity and Justice (CMDJ) at the BSoG are looking for a motivated intern to support interdisciplinary research on migration, diversity, inequality, and (anti-)racism.

🔍 Tasks include: research support, organising seminars, communication & outreach, and data processing. Tasks will be tailored to your skills and interests.

🎓 Profile: strong interest in migration research, excellent English writing skills, good IT & communication skills.

🎓 A day to remember! Yesterday, we celebrated the 2026 graduates of our LLM in International and European Law, Advanced Master on European Governance (EuroMaster), MA in Diplomacy and Global Governance, and MA in Global Security and Strategy, as well as our three postgraduate certificate programmes, at the stunning Grand Place in Brussels.

Families and loved ones gathered to celebrate this special milestone as our graduates created memories to cherish for a lifetime.
