Multilingual Research Unit (MuRe) MuRe is de Multilingual Research Unit van de vakgroep Taal-en Letterkunde (TALK) van de Vrije Universiteit Brussel. This research group is directed by Prof.

Deze groep doet onderzoek naar meertaligheid, voornamelijk naar meertalig onderwijs waarbij een deel van de leerstof in de doeltaal wordt onderwezen. Deze aanpak staat bekend als content and language integrated learning (CLIL) of enseignement d’une matière intégré à une languge étrangère (EMILE). Aan het hoofd van deze groep staat professor Piet Van de Craen, een internationaal befaamde pionier

hiervan. Met het team verricht hij baanbrekend werk in Vlaanderen en Europa. De MuRe groep is ook erg internationaal actief vooral via de European Language Council/Conseil européen pour les langues (ELC/CEL)

English: The Multilingual Research Unit from the Free University Brussels investigates multilingualism and the effects of multilingual education. This approach, in which a content course is taught in the target language, is known as Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL). Dr. Piet Van de Craen, an international renowned name in this area. With his team he has done pioneering work in Flanders and Europe. The MuRe research group is active on an international level especially through the European Language Council/ Conseil européen pour les langues (ELC/CEL)
