Here are 5 reasons why you should join our Congress on Nov 12 (click here to register👉 https://wllw.co/lvoxk94dp)
1. A Nobel laureate among the speakers
Philippe Aghion, who received the Nobel Prize in Economics in 2025, has devoted his career to understanding how innovation drives growth and how economies adapt to technological change.
2. A panel that brings together very different perspectives
The discussion will include Teresa Ribera, European Commissioner for Competition, who sees the question from a regulatory and policy angle.
Jean-Charles Samuelian, co-founder of Alan and of Mistral AI, will speak from the experience of building technology companies.
Fiona du Monceau, Chief Commercial Officer at UCB, will bring the view of a large international business.
Vincent Ginis, professor of AI at VUB and visiting professor at Harvard, will moderate and add the scientific dimension. Hearing these viewpoints in the same conversation will surely make this conversation fascinating to hear.
3. A topic that affects every organisation
Generative AI is already changing how companies innovate, how they compete and how they are led, and the questions it raises are far from settled.
4. Good company
You can now register with an individual ticket and share a table with other alumni.
Feel free to tell your alumni friends about the evening and encourage them to tag along! Whether you come with friends or on your own, you will also cross paths with people you may have met at other alumni events, as well as many you have never met before.
A cocktail reception, a gala dinner and two dedicated networking sessions leave plenty of time for good conversations.
5. A contribution to the Solvay Schools
The Congress also has a lasting purpose. For more than 20 years, the Solvay Schools Alumni Endowment Fund has supported fellowships, academic chairs, student awards and strategic initiatives at both the ULB and the VUB, with more than €1.3 million invested to date. By attending, you help ensure that this support continues for the students and academics of both schools.
See you then? :)
