🌶️ Good vibes & lots of kimchi! 🥬✨

The GUGC and Buddy students got together for a fun Kimchi Night in the garden of De Sterre - a superfun evening with some seriously delicious homemade kimchi!

While the Korean students got to satisfy their kimchi cravings, the Belgian students had the perfect opportunity to make some new friends before heading to Korea next semester! ✈️

(The hosting outdoors was probably a good idea, by the way, as the attendees noses can confirm :-)

What do you see when you look at a lake? 🌊

‘Sometimes, protecting our waters begins with learning to read the stories they tell,’ says first year Aquaculture student Peter Thuo. Last week, Peter and his classmates of the Msc. Aquaculture https://www.ugent.be/bw/en/education/master-programmes/aquaculture.htm) connected classroom theory to the real freshwater ecosystem of (lake) Blaarmeersen in Gent.

‘The excursion taught me that understanding aquatic ecosystems is not just about knowing what happens in nature,’ Peter Says. ‘It is about understanding why it happens and how human activities influence it. Even a small change beneath the surface can have wide consequences when the ecosystem's balance is disturbed.’
