The Institute for Social Drug Research (ISD) iis part of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of the Faculty of Law, University of Ghent. The ISD is a research group that wants to play a prominent part in the social scientific collection and transfer of knowledge regarding different aspects of the use of drugs, drug trafficking and drug policies. By setting up and coordinating empirical

research on a high methodological and theoretical level, the ISD is aiming to get a better understanding of the complexity of the use of pleasurable substances and drugs. The insider's view gets all the attention that it deserves and needs in order to get a reliable set of results and conclusions. The multi-disciplinary composition of the ISD and the cooperation of the Institute with different foreign departments and faculties result in activities that are set up from different disciplines: criminology, psychology, anthropology, social geography, philosophy, criminal law, history, ...

Het is zover! Morgen opent de XTC-Expo van de burgerbeweging Smartondrugs haar deuren voor het grote publiek, in Gent (Speldenstraat 1).

Denk je bij de term 'legaliseren' wel eens: wat bedoelen ze daar dan concreet mee? Wil je meer weten op welke manieren roesmiddelen kunnen worden gereguleerd? Of wil je ook gewoon eens 'jouw gedacht' over de aanpak van drugs kunnen zeggen, anoniem dan nog? Wil je je gewoon informeren over drugsbeleid, of over drugs in het algemeen?

De XTC-Expo is een 'immersive experience', en is bedoeld om het debat over een effectiever drugsbeleid te stimuleren.

Deel deze aankondiging met iedereen waarvan je denkt, dat het hen kan interesseren, en breng zo snel mogelijk een bezoek aan de Expo. Dat kan tot 15 mei 2024.
