B-PHOT’s metasurfaces recognized as a 2024 highlight by OPTICA!

Koen Vanmol and his B-PHOT colleagues have demonstrated how two-photon polymerization (2PP) enables fast, high-quality 3D nanostructures for advanced metasurfaces. Their work, now featured in Optics in 2024 by OPTICA, showcases high-resolution meta-lenses printed directly onto optical fibers—opening new possibilities for optical measurement and imaging systems.

Congratulations to Prof. Tigran Baghdasaryan for Receiving Best Paper Award for B-PHOT at SPIE Photonics West 2025! 🏆

It’s a wrap! 🚀 Optica's Sensing and Imaging Congresses brought together experts in the field of optical science to Toulouse, including four B-PHOT researchers. ⚡️

🧑‍🔬 Prof. Heidi Ottevaere, Prof. Lien Smeesters, Dr. Tatevik Chalyan, and PhD researcher Maria Josef Lopera Acosta represented B-PHOT through their interesting presentations and active participation in panel discussions. 💡

🤝 The team met a lot of interesting experts, including Prof. Ana Doblas (University of Massachusetts Dartmouth), who is collaborating on Maria’s PhD project. We are looking forward to future collaborations! 🔮
