Doing an internship in an international company, that's what we've been doing for almost a month now!
Even if foreign countries attract us, the internship can be done in Belgium, like in Brussels for example. Languages are then very important because we are juggling every day between French, Dutch and English.
At Wep, I have the opportunity to work with a great team and to be in daily contact with people from all over the world.

Een stage lopen in een internationaal bedrijf, dat is de weg die we nu al bijna een maand bewandelen!
Zelfs als het buitenland ons aantrekt, kan de stage in België worden gedaan, bijvoorbeeld in Brussel. In dit geval zijn talen erg belangrijk, omdat we elke dag jongleren met Frans, Nederlands en Engels.
Bij Wep heb ik de kans om met een geweldig team te werken en dagelijks in contact te staan met mensen van over de hele wereld.

Faire un stage dans une entreprise international, c’est le chemin que nous avons pris depuis presqu’un mois maintenant !
Même si les pays étrangers nous attirent, le stage peut se faire en Belgique, comme à Bruxelles par exemple. Les langues sont alors très importantes car on est tous les jours en train de jongler entre le français, le néerlandais et l’anglais.
Chez Wep, j’ai l’opportunité de travailler avec une super équipe et d’être en contact quotidiennement avec des gens du monde entier.

Een stage in België bij een internationaal bedrijf. Saai? Zeker niet! De eerste drie weken werd ik al meteen betrokken in heel veel projecten, waaronder Cebeo vertegenwoordigen op de beurs. Niet één beurs, maar drie en dat voor drie verschillende doelgroepen.

Eerst stonden we op de technologiebeurs georganiseerd door Cebeo voor klanten en leveranciers. Daarna waren we aanwezig op de MNM What’s Nxt beurs bedoeld voor jongeren en de laatste beurs was Technoboost. Een beurs voor kinderen om hen op een speelse manier kennis te laten maken met de wereld van techniek.

Kortom, het waren al geslaagde eerste weken!

An internship in Belgium with an international company. Boring, certainly not! The first three weeks I was immediately involved in many projects, including representing Cebeo at the fair. Not just one fair, but three and for three different target groups.

First we were at the technology fair organized by Cebeo for customers and suppliers. Then we were at the MNM What's Nxt fair intended for young people and the last fair was Technoboost. A fair for children to introduce them to the world of technology in a playful way.

In short, it was a successful first few weeks!

Doing an internship abroad is indeed about working and gaining a wealth of experience, but it is also about exploring a dazzling metropolis, meeting up with new friends, tasting an exciting mix of cultures and feeling overwhelmed by encounters with history. I will always keep a suitcase in Berlin… Einen ganz lieben Gruß, Augustine.

This week our internship started. During these 12 weeks we will adapt the knowledge learned in the Ba-na-Ba/Advanced Bachelor in real life. Excitement and joy marked our first week on the work field

Last Friday was an important day for all of us. It was time to present our Business Project to the jury. We worked on our projects for almost a year and we are proud of the result. Everyone gave it their very best and this resulted in great presentations! Afterwards we celebrated by dining together in Kortrijk.

This week we are rushing through our last exams and the bachelor thesis. While studying and working we cannot help but look forward to our (international) internships that will start next week! Only 27 hours to go before the first students hop on the plane!!🛫

Today is a special day for around 450 million people around the world as they are celebrating Orthodox Easter, one week after the Catholic Easter. This is due to the difference between the Julian calendar (the ''Old Style'' calendar used by the Romans which determines the date for the Orthodox Easter) and the current Gregorian calendar. Happy Easter to everyone who is celebrating or has already celebrated Easter!

It is also an important day for the International Business students as the deadlines for their final thesis submission and presentation are almost here. So, whether everything is finished already or you are adding the final touches, the following message is for you!

Today, the 22nd of April, marks the 52nd annual staging of Earth Day. Today we have a chance to reflect on how humanity has been treating our planet.

The truth is, we have been poor custodians of our fragile home and the Earth is facing a triple planetary crisis.

Climate disruption.

Nature and biodiversity loss.

Pollution and waste.

This triple crisis is threatening the well-being and survival of millions of people around the world.

But there is still hope, as we, International Management students, have learned during the Corporate Social Responsability course. 6 years ago today, the landmark Paris Agreement was signed by nearly 200 countries to set a common target to reduce global greenhouse emissions. Governments must have cut emissions by 45 per cent by 2030, and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 in order to limit the global temperature rise to 1.5 degrees. Today's message is: Make every day Earth Day!
Together, even by taking small actions every day, we can make a difference.
The second picture shows a sustainable way of doing shopping, by using an e-step instead of a car for mobility and a reusable cardboard box instead of a single use plastic one.

Last week we had our first exam of the second semester. For the course Total Quality Management we had to compare 2 companies and their work in quality management. On Thursday we had to present it to our teacher group per group. After the efforts we've done through the year we decided to finish our final week before the exams by going out to dinner together.

Vorige week hadden we ons eerste examen van het 2de semester. Voor het vak Total Quality Management moesten we de kwaliteitszorg van 2 verschillende bedrijven vergelijken. Donderdag moesten we dit dan groep per groep mondeling presenteren. Na de inspanningen die we doorheen het jaar geleverd hebben, hebben we beslist om de laatste week voor de examens af te sluiten door samen uit eten te gaan.
