October is National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month!

When our researchers evaluated communication and interaction skills in the ySKILLS performance tests, more than 40% of the children did not consider name-calling in a group chat as a matter of concern. Also, fewer than one-third of participants considered blocking an unknown person who’s sending nasty comments.

Find out more about how 600 children and young people, between the ages of 13 to 18, performed in 6 different countries (Estonia, Finland, Germany, Italy, Poland, and Portugal) in the blog post from Alexander Van Deursen and Ester van Laar.
“Unveiling Insights from the Youth Digital Skills Performance Test Results” reveals the results from tasks on communication and interaction skills, information navigation and processing skills and content creation and production skills.
