One of physicist Stephen Hawking’s theories states that 𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰. Thanks to highly precise observations made with the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory that theory has now been verified for the first time.
The Leuven Gravity Institute has been deeply involved in this discovery.

Rector-elect Severine Vermeire heeft twee van de zeven vicerectoren bij de Faculteit Wetenschappen gevonden: Margriet Van Bael als vicerector Onderwijsbeleid & technologie, Stefaan Vaes als vicerector van de Groep Wetenschap en Technologie. Beide beleidsdomeinen komen in uitstekende handen te liggen!

Rector-elect Severine Vermeire heeft haar zeven vicerectoren bekendgemaakt. Vanaf 1 augustus staat het nieuwe team in voor het dagelijks bestuur van de universiteit.
