On March 11 15h CET, ISHA organises an online screening of the documentary War on Education, which speaks about the targeting of Ukrainian schools in the current war. It will be followed by a roundtable with speakers Stefano di Pietro (director of the documentary), Steven Stegers (director at Euroclio) and Marta Haiduchok (Invisible University for Ukraine) and a discussion where participants will discuss this impact.

ISHA Alumni are most welcome to join the online event - and we especially appreciate sharing the event and the information on the documentary with your students and young people in your network!

Dear alumni and ex-officials! We need your help. For unknown IT reasons, the lists of boards before 2019 have disappeared from the website page "previous officials". Only presidents and Carnival editors are mentioned. We want to remedy this and give credit to all elected officials who contributed to ISHA in the past.
We tried to reconstruct the previous boards, going through the minutes of GA's and the drive. We are stuck now in 2005. Have you been an official in 2005 or earlier, and can you help us restore the names on the website? Have you spotted a mistake somewhere in the list? Suggestions on where else to look for the information?
Please let us know or send an email to [email protected].
Thank you for being our collective memory!

Last month, ISHA officials and Alumni headed to the university of Leuven library to digitise the ISHA archives.

Work on sorting all the documents and checking the quality of the pictures is still going on and in all probability more trips to the archive will need to be undertaken.

In the meantime we lhope you enjoy this report of the Second Annual Conference in Pécs, 1991, and wish you all the best for 2018

Yesterday, we drew our final conclusions from the very first ISHA Alumni seminar. Participants hindered by the storm will get reimbursed and also the workshop leaders are up to a little treat. We discussed the future of our working and based on the feedback of alumni we will offer a new concept in our next event. If you would like to lend a hand, you are always welcome to join the committee.
In the coming weeks more portraits of Alumni will be published. ISHA will also return to its 1990’s HQ, Leuven, to digitise its archives and to start working on the ISHA Alumni 1990’s working.

We thank all the alumni for coming to Berlin and for your insightful comments on how to ISHA Alumni. Special thanks to ISHA Berlin for all their efforts in hosting the seminar and to ISHA International for its support.
Viva ISHA!

[Get to know ISHA Alumni]

An active member of Paris then Berlin since 2015, Alex is ever grateful to have discovered ISHA. In addition to meeting many wonderful people, ISHA has widened her historical horizons and improved her knowledge of European geography significantly. As the Editor of Carnival 2016/2017, Alex endeavoured to make the publication as useful and accessible to all as possible, something she hopes to continue as a Council Member of ISHA International and head of the PhD Committee 2017/2018. Her academic interests include North Korean opera and werewolf p**n.
