Peter Vermeersch volgde jonge muzikanten in Belarus in hun zoektocht naar vrijheid en hoop. Op 23 oktober komt hij bij ons vertellen over zijn bijzondere reis.

🎶 Muzikant Thomas Devos brengt de songs van verzet live in onze zaal.

Peter gaat ook in gesprek met Katsiaryna Lozka, een jonge Belarussische onderzoekster aan de Universiteit Gent die de politiek van geweld en verzet in Belarus en Oekraïne bestudeert.

Our latest exhibition, 'Raising our roots', is the museum's first participatory project, created by the Echoes collective – 13 young adults from around Brussels.

The exhibition explores representation in history through untold stories from the city. It contrasts the European history shown in the museum with intimate realities and migration narratives across time.

The members of the Echoes collective – selected through a call for application – identified unheard voices and missing narratives in history, and developed a particular interest in changing the way migration histories are told.

Presented in an audio-visual setting, the exhibition recreates the atmosphere of the city – bringing its metro, parks, streets, and homes alive. You will experience the in-betweenness of the ever-changing city.

L’ouvrage collectif de Cecilia Rizcallah, chargée de cours à l'Institut d'études européennes Saint-Louis (IEE) et Denis Duez, professeur à l'IEE, vient de paraître aux Presses universitaires Saint-Louis Bruxelles (PUSL) : Standing Up for the Voiceless ? Exploring the EU’s Capacity for Rights Protection.
Il s’agit du premier numéro d’une nouvelle série « Études européennes », au sein des PUSL.

Cet ouvrage est l’aboutissement des réflexions développées au cours des trois dernières années dans le cadre du Centre d'excellence Jean Monnet « Un-Muting Europe » (EUNMUTE).

Ce volume, qui arrive à point nommé et suscite la réflexion, est une lecture essentielle pour tous ceux qui s'intéressent à la légitimité de la gouvernance européenne, à la politique de la voix et du silence et à l'avenir de la protection des droits dans l'UE. 🇪🇺
