CEMS 2026 Managers' meeting in Belgium ✨

This week, the faculty is delighted to receive on its Louvain-la-Neuve campus the Corporate Relations Managers and Programme Managers from the CEMS alliance's 33 universities for 3 days of collaboration, discussion and share of best practices. 💯

The aim of this 3-day seminar is both to optimise the management of the CEMS MiM programme on a global scale in order to offer the best possible experience to our students, and at the same time to foster networking and develop a unique international alliance. 🌎🤝

Follow-up LSM in Latin America 💫

As part of LSM's strategy to build and strengthen its ties with Latin America, our Dean, Prof. Matthieu de Nanteuil, recently visited Flacso Ecuador.

📜The objective of this visit was to sign the first exchange agreement between LSM and FLACSO for the next 5 years. This agreement is part of the faculty's strategy to develop new partnerships in Latin America and offer a wider range of destinations to our students.🗺️

The establishment of this partnership was simplified thanks to the fact that our Dean and other professors at LSM have already given seminars to PhD students at FLACSO. Among them was Robert Cobbaut, Professor Emeritus, who recently passed away and to whom a tribute was also paid during the visit.

In addition to signing this partnership, Prof. Matthieu de Nanteuil had the opportunity to give a lecture on the topic "Work: between interests and values", a methodology seminar and met several PhD students who were interested in a collaboration for their thesis.

LSM would like to thank Prof. Betty Espinosa, LSM alumnus, and Prof. Gioconda Herrera for their warm welcome! We are delighted to have signed this new agreement between our two faculties. 🤝

💡 Did you know that ...

The support of our Ambassadors for the Consulting Project group has three main purposes oriented towards the students:
🔹Organisation and marketing of the course throughout the academic year and for the final Closing Ceremony;
🔹Funding the awards for the 10 best Consulting groups;
🔹30% of the funds are dedicated to providing one-off grants for students for example to pay for their language testing.

Thanks to the Consulting Project's Ambassadors' dedication and advocacy, several students who apply to study at LSM receive scholarships, and have the opportunity to participate in an exchange programme next year. ✅

“The programme has been a catalyst in linking strategic vision with measurable ex*****on. It strengthened my ability to quantify financial impact, design value-creation models, and take decisions that secure both immediate returns and long-term growth,” shares Abdel Jabbar RHARSSI, Project Manager - Building Decarbonization & Compliance at Pandox, and alumnus of the International Executive MBA Class of 2025.

Abdel highlights how the format accelerated practical learning and peer exchange:

NYC Entrepreunariat trip 🗽

Last week, 16 LSM students from the International Entrepreneurship course, taught by Prof. Frank Janssen, had the opportunity to spend a week in New York. 🚕

The purpose of this trip was to provide students with a deeper understanding of entrepreneurial dynamics within an international context.

On the agenda for the week: students explored the entrepreneurial and economic ecosystem through visits to several companies, academic institutions, international organisations and met with entrepreneurs. 👨‍💼👩‍💼

They visited Cornell Tech, Columbia University, Stevens Institute of Technology, BelCham - The Belgian American Chamber of Commerce in the USA, Consulate General of Belgium, United Nations, KBC Bank New York, and Cooley LLP, and also met with UCLouvain Entrepreneuriat alumni who started their businesses in the US.

This week, students are continuing their US trip in North Carolina, where they are being hosted by Walker College of Business at Appalachian State University as part of an academic exchange with American students who visited Louvain-la-Neuve in March.

✨New DD partnership between Università di Pisa and LSM

Two weeks ago, LSM had the pleasure of hosting a delegation from our Circle U. (European University Alliance) partner in Pisa. Together, we discussed the development of a new Double Degree agreement. This innovative programme will offer students the chance to specialise in Digital Intelligence and Change Management.

In June 2026, our Dean, Prof. Matthieu de Nanteuil and the LSM international team will go to Pisa to discover our partner's campus and sign the agreement. 🤝

We are thrilled to share that this new Circle U. collaboration will enable the recruitment of students from September 2026 for the 2027-2028 academic year onwards.
