This year, Prof Gunther van Loon from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Ghent University, will join the Vets with Horsepower (https://www.vetswithhorsepower.com )—a group of dedicated lecturers in equine medicine who, over the course of 12 days and a 3,500 km journey across multiple countries, will deliver lectures at various locations, all with one shared purpose: to raise funds for a number of meaningful charitable causes.
Last year, they successfully raised over £100,000. This year, they are determined to reach at least the same amount—hopefully even more. A significant portion of this year’s proceeds will go towards the care of children and support for veterinarians in Ukraine, where the current situation is truly devastating. You can find more information about the charities we are supporting via this link: https://www.vetswithhorsepower.com/charities.html and via the page https://www.facebook.com/VetswithHorsePower
These include Unbroken Kids, Vets in Ukraine, Saving the Survivors, Gambia Horse and Donkey Trust, and Changing Lives Malawi.
If you find this initiative worthwhile and would like to contribute, donations can be made through the website above. Every contribution—no matter how small—truly makes a difference and brings hope to those in need! 🙏
