🤝 STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP: ULSIT and Leading Dutch Academic Institutions Join Forces in Security and Innovation
Today, a key high-level introductory meeting was held at the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies (ULSIT). The academic leadership of our university welcomed an authoritative delegation from three leading institutions in the Netherlands:
🔬 University of Twente
🎓 Saxion University of Applied Sciences
🚓 Police Academy of the Netherlands
🎯 Main Goal of the Visit: Establishing long-term partnerships, discussing future mobility opportunities for students and faculty under the Erasmus+ program (KA1 and KA2), as well as planning joint large-scale research projects under the EU framework program Horizon Europe (Horizon 2030).
A highly productive discussion took place, featuring leading names from both sides:

🔹 On behalf of the Dutch guests: Leading experts in digitalization, innovation, and scientific research:
• Prof. Jaap Knotter – Head of Technologies for Criminal Investigation, Saxion University of Applied Sciences & Police Academy of the Netherlands; Head of Digitalisation and Technology, Police Academy of the Netherlands;
• Jasper van der Duin – Head of Innovation, Police of the Netherlands / Police Academy of the Netherlands / Technologies for Criminal Investigation;
• Gustavo Garcia – Senior Researcher, Technologies for Criminal Investigations, Saxion University of Applied Sciences;
• Iris Grijsen – Representative of Saxion University of Applied Sciences and the Police Academy of the Netherlands;
• Dimitar Rangelov and Swikar Bhandari – Researchers, University of Twente.
💡 The meeting highlighted strong synergies between ULSIT's research pursuits in cybersecurity and information technologies and the innovative developments of our Dutch colleagues in digital criminal investigation, police innovations, forensic sciences, and high-tech criminalistics.
