E-teacher Mariana Formada em licenciatura inglês (UFMG) e mestre em Estudos da Linguagem (UFOP). Teacher há 20 anos. Natural de Sete Lagoas, MG.

Ensinei em cursos livres, na universidade e, há mais de 7 anos, te ajudo a destravar o inglês online com um método eficaz, acolhedor e humano. Caçula de uma família de seis filhos, me mudei para Belo Horizonte aos dezenove para estudar Letras - Língua Inglesa na Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. Livros, filmes e idiomas sempre foram a minha grande paixão e não demorou muito para que a sala de

aula se tornasse a minha profissão. Trabalhei quase duas décadas e meia como professora de inglês em cursos livres, ensinando todas as faixas etárias, tendo sido também docente para estudantes do ensino superior, através do Departamento de Letras da Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto (onde fiz o meu mestrado) e da Fundação Gorçeix, aqui em Minas.
​Todos esses anos de profissão e o contato com os alunos, me levaram a perceber que por mais diverso que seja o mercado, o investimento financeiro e pessoal ainda é grande e inacessível para muitos brasileiros. Horários incompatíveis, turmas cheias, dentre outros desestímulos acabam afastando as pessoas da vontade de aprender um segundo idioma. A educação à distância me permitiu concretizar o desejo de desenhar o meu próprio curso, unindo outra paixão ao meu ofício: a tecnologia da era digital! O E-teacher é a forma que encontrei de levar o inglês até você da melhor maneira: aulas personalizadas e que vão de encontro ao seu interesse em aprender ou aprimorar o inglês, com todo o conforto que você merece!

The Voight-Kampff Test was a test used as of 2019 by the LAPD's Blade Runners to assist in determining whether or not an individual was a replicant. The test measured bodily functions such as respiration, heart rate, blushing and pupillary dilation in response to emotionally provocative questions.

This test has inspired me to develop a set of PEER CONVERSATION CLASSES with thought-provoking questions for those who are tired of boredom and like to engage passionately with a debate topic.

Only humans, not androids, can respond emotionally to what they are asked. Similarly, not until speakers connect emotionally to the language can they be considered fluent.

The sessions will take place via Skype and participation is limited to 4 speakers on each of the following dates:

April, 2, 9, 16, 23 (Saturday) at 10am Brasilia time (GMT -3)

BORING OR BORED?

Here is a very common mistake EFL speakers make: using the wrong form of an adjective. Let's take boring and bored as an example:

BORING
"He is boring" means he is not interesting; tedious.
Other examples
I've got a boring job in an office.✅
This task is so boring.✅
I hate romantic comedy movies. They are boring.✅

BORED
"He is bored" means he is feeling unhappy because something is not interesting.
Other examples:
It was a cold and wet day, the children were bored.✅
He was getting bored with/of doing the same thing every day.✅
I was so bored I dozed off through the second half of the movie.✅

GRAMMAR EXPLANATION
📌-ed adjectives
Adjectives that end in -ed generally describe EMOTIONS – they tell us how people feel.

I was so bored in that lesson, I almost fell asleep.🙄
He was surprised to see Helen after all those years.😮
She was really tired and went to bed early.🥵

📌-ing adjectives
Adjectives that end in -ing generally describe the thing that CAUSES the emotion – a boring lesson makes you feel bored.
