NCAA Division I Men's Soccer could be heading into one of the biggest
changes in decades!
The DI Men's Soccer Oversight Committee has adopted a proposal that
splits the season into TWO semesters, starting August 2027.
⚠️ The proposal still needs final review by the Division I Cabinet
in June, but here's what's on the table:
🟡 Fall (late August to Thanksgiving) — up to 18 games
🟡 Spring (mid-February to Championship) — up to 10 games
🟡 NCAA Championship moves to the spring
🟡 New 15-day transfer window after the championship
If approved, this could mean for players and families:
✓ Less midweek games (more recovery time)
✓ Stronger academic-athletic balance
✓ Year-round visibility for recruiting
✓ Faster decision-making cycles
The landscape is changing.
The question is — is your plan ready for it?
Random opportunities won't work in this new model.
Strategic planning will.
At MTwelve, we don't chase random chances.
We build paths that adapt to where college soccer is going.
