O LIP foi concebido para oferece suporte ao desenvolvimento e implementação de projetos e pesquisas colaborativos entre as mais distintas áreas do conhecimento. Clarissa Ribeiro, o LIP é uma iniciativa do Centro de Ciências Tecnológicas da Universidade de Fortaleza. O projeto traz como estratégia propulsora com vistas à inovação ‘arte e ciência’ combinados – ‘arte e ciência’ como ponte entre tecnologias, engenharias e arquitetura, seus interesses distintos e métodos particulares.
