O Iº SIC: (Seminário Internacional da Coordenadoria de Estudos da Ásia da UFPE), “Nova ordem, velhos consensos: O sul global em perspectiva” ocorre nos dias 26, 27, 28 e 29 de outubro, e é com prazer que anunciamos a programação 1 do evento!
Nos três primeiros dias contaremos com a presença de três conferencistas de abertura, apresentando suas contribuições e entendimentos sobre o tema central do seminário.
No dia 26 de outubro, contaremos com abertura do Prof. Jason W. Moore, historiador ambiental e geógrafo histórico da Universidade de Binghamton, mundialmente renomado por suas contribuições sobre os debates de crise ambiental.
No dia 27 de outubro, contaremos com a conferência do Prof. Mick Dunford, geógrafo, economista e professor da Academia de Ciências Chinesa (CAS) e da Universidade de Sussex, mundialmente renomados por suas contribuições nos debates sobre planejamento urbano, desenvolvimento regional e economia política.
No penúltimo dia de evento, 28 de outubro, contamos com a conferência do Prof. Vijay Prashad, historiador, jornalista e professor de relações internacionais. Ele é diretor-executivo da Tricontinental: Institute for Social Research e Editor-chefe da LeftWord Books. Autor de livros como Washington Bullets, ele é mundialmente reconhecido por suas contribuições nas áreas de economia política e relações internacionais.
Já o dia 29 de outubro é reservado para apresentação dos trabalhos submetidos, lembramos que o prazo para submissão de trabalhos é até a sexta-feira, 24 de setembro, e as inscrições para participação enquanto ouvintes, vão até o dia 25 de outubro.

The 1st SIC: (Internacional Seminar od the Asia Studies Coordination os UFPE), “New order, old consensus: The global south in perspective” takes place on October 26, 27, 28 and 29, and we have the pleasure to announce the 1st schedule for the event!
On the first three days, we will have the presence of three opening speakers, presenting their contributions and understandings on the central theme of the seminar.
On October 26th, we will have the conference of Prof. Jason W. Moore, environmental historian and historical geographer at the University of Binghamton, world renowned for his contributions to the environmental crisis debates.
On October 27th, we will have a conference by Prof. Mick Dunford, geographer, economist and professor at the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the University of Sussex, world renowned for their contributions to debates on urban planning, regional development and political economy.
On the penultimate day of the event, October 28th, we have a conference by Prof. Vijay Prashad, historian, journalist and professor of international relations. He is Executive Director of Tricontinental: Institute for Social Research and Editor-in-Chief of LeftWord Books. Author of books such as the Washington Bullets, he is world renowned for his contributions in the fields of political economy and international relations.
On the other hand, October 29th is reserved for the presentation of submitted works, we remind you that the deadline for work submission is Friday, September 24th, and registration for participation as listeners, goes until October 25th.
