“GTC JOINS OTHER TVET COLLEGES AT FASHION WITHOUT BORDERS AFRICA BOTSWANA 2026”

Gaborone Technical College (GTC) together with other institutions under the Department of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (DTVET) attended this year's Fashion Without Borders Africa Botswana.

The event took place at The Grand Palm Hotel in Gaborone, where the Fashion Unpacked Masterclass was held. The Masterclass was themed "Sustainable Fashion Blueprint", bringing together fashion leaders, designers, and creatives to discuss how to make African fashion more sustainable, inclusive, and competitive on the global stage.

The masterclass comes as Fashion Without Borders Botswana kicks off its 2026 edition under the main theme "Weaving African Stories Through Fashion."

Furthermore institutions will be given a chance to showcase their designs on the 17 of October at Grand Palm and this is to give young TVET fashion designers a chance to show case their designs and grow in the dynamic industry ..

A PUBLIC AUCTION SHALL TAKE PLACE AT GTC:
1. Items will be sold in lot numbers to the highest bidder. Lots are offered “as in the condition” without any warranty expressed or implied.
2. Unless otherwise stated, lots shall be sold to citizens of Botswana or companies that are owned by Botswana citizen’s only.

All bidders are required to produce the following:
- Individuals: National Identity (omang)
- Companies /Business: company/Business name extract ii) Copies of ID’s of all shareholders & Directors of the company

3. The handling & removal of the purchased lot(s) are the sole responsibility of the successful bidder.
4. Ownership: The successful bidder shall become the owner upon payment of the lot. All ownership risks shall be transferred to the successful bidder from the close of business on the day upon which payment is made.
5. Ownership of a lot will revert to GTC if such a lot is not removed within 7 working days after the date of the auction without any compensation to the bidder.
