✨ AIDE-MÉMOIRE

What gets remembered, and what gets erased?

Aide-Mémoire brings together emerging artists to explore archival silences, the gaps in official records where marginalized lived experiences have been overlooked, erased, or ignored. What if those gaps are invitations? What if they’re spaces to build our own archive in the present?

Featuring new sculpture by Melanie Jones (Associate Professor, UFV School of Creative Arts) alongside SoCA students + alumni: Aiyana Barnett, Chandradeep Majumder, Gabriel Fiset, and Sien Tolmie.

Through drawers, found objects, wax, fur, text, and ceramics, Jones transforms furniture into a visceral, q***r archive, where memory sits between concealment and revelation.
