St. Francis Xavier Association of University Teachers Information and updates for supporters and members of the StFXAUT, the union representing more than 400 academic workers at St. Francis Xavier University.

The St. Francis Xavier University Association of University Teachers (StFXAUT) was founded in 1957 and in 2005, under the Labour Relations Board of Nova Scotia, became the certified bargaining agent for academic staff. StFXAUT promotes the welfare of the University and its academic staff. Our membership includes full and contract faculty, Librarians and Archivists, Laboratory Instructors, School o

f Nursing and clinical nursing staff, Coady International Institute teaching staff, Academic Skills Instructors, and Extension Department staff. We play a role in advocacy of issues pertaining to academic excellence and integrity at StFX.

The StFXAUT Executive and the Negotiating Team announce that we have reached a tentative agreement with the StFX administration.

The details of the agreement will be presented at a special meeting early in the term. At the conclusion of this meeting, and following days, StFXAUT Members will have the opportunity to vote on the agreement. If approved, this will become the 7th Collective Agreement.
