With most of midterms behind us, it’s time to take a breath, reset, and make some time for ourselves. 🫶

Our Women in Business team is sharing a few self-care tips to remind you to slow down, spend time with family and friends, do things you enjoy, and give yourself a break.

And remember, you don’t have to keep everything to yourself. Talking to someone, sharing how you feel, and asking for support can make a difference. You don’t have to go through everything alone. 💗

Remember that our well-being matters just as much as our achievements! Enjoy your reading week !!

October is Mi’kmaw History Month, a time to learn about and celebrate Mi’kmaw history, culture, language, and heritage.

This year’s theme, “Nepisulti’k - We Are Healing,” reminds us that healing is a lifelong journey. It invites us to reflect on how understanding ourselves, our histories, our relationships, and our connections to one another can contribute to healing and wellness.

Today, we remember the Indigenous children who were forced to attend residential schools, as well as the children who never returned home. We recognize the devastating impacts of the residential school system, including loss of life, separation from families and communities, and the loss of culture, language, and traditions.

Today is also a day to learn, listen, and reflect on the history and lasting intergenerational impacts of residential schools. As Schwartz Women in Business, we believe it is important to continue learning, having these conversations, and reflecting on our role in reconciliation throughout the year.
