Congratulations to Dr. Leona English on the publication of her book, Citizens, Scholars and Friends: Women in the Canadian Association for Adult Education, 1935-1965. As Dr. English notes, "these women were the intellectual force behind the CAAE" (pg. 4.)

The book highlights the biographies and contributions of women to editing, writing, and policymaking in the Canadian Association for Adult Education, a vibrant civil society organization educating the nation in the mid-twentieth century.
