For Scott Grant (class of 2007), Georgian College became the place where he discovered his strengths, found his purpose and built the foundation for a meaningful career helping others.

A graduate of Georgian’s Child and Youth Care program, Scott went on to complete his Master of Social Work and now works as a Social Worker in First Episode Psychosis at the Canadian Mental Health Association and helps educate future social workers.

💙 What an incredible night at the 39th annual Rotary Fun Run! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🎉

A huge thank you to all the Georgian alumni, employees, retirees, students and friends who joined Team Georgian and helped make this our largest showing ever at the event! From top finishes on the course to cheering one another on at the finish line, the energy and community spirit were truly amazing.

Thank you to the Rotary Club of Barrie for organizing another fantastic charitable event in support of so many great causes, including Georgian’s awards, scholarships and bursaries, and for your continued commitment to student success at Georgian. 🙌🎓

🎉 Oh, what a night! Georgian alumni, employees, retirees, students and friends came together for the Rotary Fun Run in record numbers, making this Georgian’s largest-ever showing at the event! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️💙 Several Grizzlies earned top finishes in the run, and everyone earned a well-deserved popsicle at the post-event celebration! 🍦👏 Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to for an incredible evening and for your continued support of student success at Georgian! 🙌🎓

Today we’re celebrating Georgian alumna Shanise Ling (class of 2008) and her exciting new career milestone — the launch of her book, Odds Are It’s Marketing. Recently picked up by Indigo and approved for use in college-level marketing curriculum, the book explores modern marketing strategy, branding, visibility and business growth through Shanise’s O.D.D.S. Method. With more than 15 years of experience in digital marketing, communications and brand strategy, Shanise is also the founder of Digitaling Media, a professor and a guest speaker helping bridge industry experience with modern marketing education.
