In honour of the Falling Leaves Moon, we gathered for a Drum Social in partnership with Mamaway Wiidokdaadwin. The Grandfather Drum, social dances, songs carried through generations in Anishinaabemowin, visiting Elders, local makers, and community, all in one room.

Miigwech to everyone who came to listen, learn, and be together. And to the Niwijiagan peer mentors and the Wiidookdading Indigenous Resources Centre for holding this space with such care.

A new chapter of Grizzlies athletics starts here! 🏉💙🐻

For the first time ever, Georgian’s women’s rugby sevens team is taking the field at home. Competing in its inaugural Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) season, Georgian’s newest varsity team will play three games during a day-long tournament.

Join us this Saturday, Oct. 17.

📍 J.C. Massie Field, Barrie Campus
🏉 Georgian vs. Conestoga | 11:00 a.m.
🏉 Georgian vs. Seneca | 1:45 p.m.
🏉 Georgian vs. Humber | 4 p.m.

More than a game, it’s the start of establishing new traditions for future Georgian teams.

Plot twist: the friendships become part of the experience, too. 💙

You might start college focused on the program, the career and everything you want to accomplish.

Then one day you realize you’ve also made the friends who make you laugh a little too loudly, save you a seat and turn an ordinary day on campus into a favourite memory.
