Not only are Kathryn Hyndman and David Ford incredibly thoughtful, they also have generous friends! For their 50th wedding anniversary, Kathryn and David asked for donations for the Brandon University Students' Union Campus Cupboard in lieu of gifts. The result was 89 kilograms of food plus, when they opened their cards, they found another $150 in gifts to help feed BU students! Thank you Kathryn, David and friends!

Research. Mentorship. Community. And a little dirt. This is what doing what’s right looks like to us. 🌱🚧

As we head into fall, we’re looking back at some of the great work that happened this summer — including a day in the field with our CEO, Todd Burns, and Neil Daniels, one of our Mitacs internship students from Brandon University.

Todd spent the day with Neil getting hands-on with road stabilization, sharing some of what we’ve learned over the years and, of course, getting his hands dirty as well!

And this wasn’t just any road.

It’s a local Winnipeg road that we donate product to each year, working alongside the City of Winnipeg to help stabilize the surface, control dust, and help reduce the environmental impact for the surrounding community.

Neil is the latest in a number of Brandon University students who have studied Cypher solutions and their performance with local materials and roads. Supporting research, investing in the next generation, and giving students opportunities to take what they’re learning out of the classroom and into real-world applications is something we strongly believe in.

We’re looking forward to seeing where Neil’s research takes him — down the road. 😉

A big thank you to Mitacs and Brandon University for continuing to support collaboration, research, and innovation right here at home.

And Neil… about that vintage Cypher vest. 😂 We might have to keep that one for the archives!

Better Roads. Better Bottom Line. Better Planet.
